About Critical Point
Captain! Take command of the Devourer and lead humanity’s civilization toward the far reaches of the cosmos! In the near future, the supermassive black hole at the center of the Milky Way enters an expansion phase, tearing countless planets into dust with its overwhelming gravity.
Become humanity’s last hope! In Project Critical Point, pilot the Devourer—a planetary-fueled ark—to guide humanity across galaxies to a new home and preserve the flame of civilization.
By arranging and activating modules, trigger fission when particles in a grid reach ≥4, releasing energy. Post-fission particles shoot into adjacent grids, igniting chain reactions from other critical-point particles!
Each plugin has unique functions. Only by mastering their effects and strategically placing them can farther you journey into the cosmos.
On the bridge, pick one of three destinations to warp. If none suit you, spend telescope energy to rescan.
Encounter them, choose how to interact, and gain resources! Beware—not all beings are friendly, nor are all civilizations hostile. Choose your responses wisely!
Humanity’s cradle will grant its "firstborn" one final act of love: becoming the first stepping stone on your cosmic journey.
Good luck, The Last Captain of Homo Species.

Good game, but needs some rebalancing. The basic concept is fun and engaging. It has roguelike elements, where you choose which level you want based on the rewards it gives, which is nice. There's only one small issue...you can softlock your game really quickly once you get a really good setup. I did, and while I was happy that it was pumping out energy, I quickly realized...it's not stopping at all. I don't know how the developer plans to fix this, but I had no way to stop the reaction. What was a really good run suddenly turned into a feedback loop that I could not escape without destroying my run's progress. Which is a shame, because I got harshly punished for optimal play.2 found this helpful
