About Criticality
Criticality is a casual incremental clicker game about splitting atoms and creating chain reactions.
Click. Split. React. Dominate the chain reaction in a casual incremental blast of cold-war chaos!
You’re a hapless engineer caught dead-center in Cold War politics, stuck with a rickety reactor and a whole lot of very volatile atoms. No fancy degrees or top-secret training, just your screwdriver, a dream, and a ticking clock of bizarre, high-stakes situations. Here’s how you go nuclear (without blowing up the lab… probably):
- Click to Unleash Neutrons - Tap to fire a single neutron, watch atoms absorb, split, and detonate in a cascading chain reaction. The longer the chain, the bigger the points haul, simple as that (until the atoms start getting tricky).
- Upgrade your reactor, Unlock Chaos - Spend your hard-earned points for game-changing upgrades that supercharge your reactor. Unlock new mechanics, boost neutron output, and turn tiny fizzles into earth-shaking blasts that rack up points faster than you can say “critical mass.”
- Chase the Ultimate Reaction - Push your reactor to its breaking point, hit critical mass, and reap the rewards… if you don’t accidentally trigger a meltdown first. Every click brings you closer to nuclear glory (or a very awkward conversation with your supervisor).
Go Criticality now – and remember: when brute force isn't working, you're not using enough of it!

Great game, love how polished the UI feels. Would like to see an improvement to the prestige tree having one long tree like this isn't a good feel even if it does look fantastic. As a dev I know its hard work doing stuff like this but maybe some kind of size scaling option or even if you stick with one size maybe it can be more of a grid. I would personally seperate purchased from available but it is nice that they move to the right when they are maxed. Overall enjoyable experience.1 found this helpful

Gameplay revolves around shooting balls with neutrons, which is just a fancy name for bullets. When balls end up close to one another, they trigger satisfying chain explosions, but your real objective is collecting the experience they leave behind. Every bit of experience fills your level bar, eventually rewarding you with an upgrade point. There is no traditional currency. Instead, upgrades are purchased with upgrade points, and each new level requires more experience than the last. The upgrade tree follows a familiar formula, starting with a single upgrade that branches into several others. While you can see where each path leads, the actual upgrade stays hidden until you unlock the current node. With plenty of branching options, you are free to focus on whatever playstyle suits you best. Unlike most incremental games, every individual upgrade can only be purchased once. The same upgrade can appear elsewhere in the tree, though, so progression is more about gradually improving your overall power than unlocking flashy new abilities. Expect bonuses such as firing more shots per round, extending round duration, increasing your chance to earn double experience, or strengthening…1 found this helpful
This is a fun, addictive incremental game with a great gameplay loop of splitting atoms and building chain reactions with the resulting neutrons. The chain reactions are super satisfying to watch when enough has been built up. The upgrades and prestige system are implemented really well, smooth progression that doesn't feel super grindy. Short, polished, and super satisfying. Perfect for fans of chill idle/clicker games!1 found this helpful
Really neat clicker/idler with a peerless 50s atomica aesthetic and fantastically addictive gameplay loops. Just when you think you've got the best of its gargantuan upgrade tree, it up's and does something interesting, making it a whole new fun over again1 found this helpful
