Cross The World is awesome! One of my relatives gifted me the game for Christmas. I highly recommend it, there's lots to do, you won't get bored, and there are different playing styles and approaches you can use. For example, you could be more into combat or more into a peaceful play style with exploration. I love the many different options for customizing your character. In addition to the stats part of that, it's incredible how the automatic name generator changes the name suggestions based on your player type (male, female, dwarf, elf, human). The only negatives, which are minor, is that the in-game documentation is not as complete as I would have liked. This is more than made up for by the fact that the Discord channel is incredibly helpful and very responsive. If you're trying to do something in the game and can't figure it out, it's likely not a bug but just a lack of info. Simply head over to the Discord channel and ask. The other negative is that the multiplayer feature was still experimental at the time of this review. The good news is that the dev is actively updating this game often and is very responsive in the Discord - it's way better than what the bigger studios …

Do you like open world games where you can play with up to 256 other people?!? Do you like unlimited possibilities where with a little elbow grease you can do anything? THIS GAME IS FOR YOU. The dev is super responsive in Discord, and the this game has so much going for it already. You can spend your whole career fishing and the world will just keep going on around you. It's like living in a god simulator, except you are just a peon who has to fight is way upward in the world just like everyone else. IF YOU LIKED KENSHI. YOU will like this. It's a great game already and will just keep getting better.

Cross The World isn’t just another RPG where you complete quests and level up. It feels like a living world that keeps going even when you’re not there. Time passes, weather changes, and NPCs go on with their lives, which gives the game an amazing sense of immersion. The mix of survival, crafting, and RPG elements works really well. I started thinking I’d just go hunting for a bit, but ended up gathering materials, farming, and making gear because I was running out of food. That’s when it really clicked for me. The seasons and temperature system are surprisingly detailed, and preparing for winter adds a nice bit of realism. The visuals are simple but charming, and the lighting, especially at night or when it’s raining, creates a really cool atmosphere. The music is calm and fits the mood perfectly. What I like most is the developer’s approach to the world. It doesn’t stop when you log off, and things keep changing. That kind of world design is rare in this genre and makes every session feel different. The world doesn’t revolve around you; you’re just part of it, and that makes it feel more alive. Golly, this game is an absolute blast.

You might start a little lost in the beginning but if you are used to rpg sandboxes like Elin, Dwarf Fortress, Unreal World, or Daggerfall you know you just need to start leveling up skills and more and more unlocks. I feel like this game has so many systems that I haven't even scratched the surface and I've almost put in 30 hours so far. Please give this game a try if you love sandbox RPGs!
