Crownbound - Fantasy Kingdom Sim

Tried to like the game but just can't. Bought thinking it would be a Kingdom Sim where you can watch heroes do their own things with input only if you chose to give it while you develop a city your heroes can come back to before they leave for a new adventure but its just a soulless RTS with no real distinguishing features. The trailers lead you to believe that its something its not. Your Heroes DONT grow in power, sure they can level up for probably slightly better stats and you CAN buy a few upgrades for them but honestly you can win the whole game using 1 unit type on even harder difficulties. There is NO "Kingdom" for you to defend either unless you call a few buildings (usually less than 7 buildings used per "Round") Very barebones, Very Buggy and probably Abandonware. Regretful Purchase.

This could be interesting game, but for now it is complete without control and heroes just weirdly run around. Better to go and play Lessaria.. this one is just cheap clone. Trying to play campaing - map get autogenerated and a lot of enemy buildings were on sea unreachable... Upon restart it generated them properly on land but after clearing not progressed... It is interesting as demo but not as full game. As now you just build buildings/purchase upgrades and waits till heroes clean area or till you generate enough money for another purchase.

There is no "Kingdom" to rebuild... maybe a town... village... at best. There are no castles, there are no territories its just a plot of land... a small plot... after you complete arbitrary goals, you start over, with another plot of land. Very small, no depth.

Its a fun game, the balance needs work and its a bit buggy but I enjoy it a lot

A small but charming fantasy sim that is simple, easy to learn, cozy and sometimes quite funny. Pros: Simple and intuitive, building your base, gaining resources, building an army and advancing tech is simple and clear Good atmosphere, variation in enemies, and genuinely punishing early game if you get over confident. However if you build safe and fortify early, the late game can be quite easy. Cons: Small game, has many different scenarios but not super deep, and doesnt require much changing of strategy AI can be a little janky, but that is part of the challenge. You can let the AI do as they please but a minor amount of managing them can save many in the long run. Overall a fun, short, low risk game that is fun, casual, exciting and rewarding. Just do not expect a long experience as is.
