About Townsmen - A Kingdom Rebuilt
Build and manage a thriving medieval city from humble village to sprawling metropolis by carefully balancing resource production, citizen happiness, and seasonal demands. Stand out through its intricate economy system, 150+ buildings, dynamic disasters, and persistent progression that rewards every action you take as ruler.
Overcome the challenges that lie ahead. Your citizens have various needs in order to stay happy. And you have to keep them happy, to keep the tax coins rolling, which you need to build even more. Beware, as there are many things in the world that will disturb happiness: Seasons will change the demand for certain goods – more water is needed during summer, more clothes in winter. Catastrophes may hit your prospering city, the plague, a large fire, or an avalanche won’t make anyone happy, nor will a bandit attack!
A huge variety of houses to build and many different jobs for your subjects will keep you busy. The armory will produce weapons for your soldiers to keep your citizens safe from bandits. The bakery or the butcher’s workshop will provide food, the monastery, the juice manufacturer, and the vineyard will bring the drinks, and everything can be bought at the marketplace! Make sure to keep an eye on your people's daily routines – besides jobs & food, they also need a place for recreation, like a park, houses to live in, and entertainment at the jousting grounds or the tavern!
Each of your deeds is meaningful: if you order your folks to build a house, or send them to a new job, you will be rewarded with experience points. This progression system will allow you to research techniques that, for example, increase the amount of taxes you get or make your watchtowers more efficient. In every map you play!

This is a horrible mobile port to a pc.5 found this helpful
As much as I love and hold extreme nostalgia for townsmen, the pc version needs a fix. Prestige's value in this game is super misplaced because it used to be the p2w or the 'do this quick' currency. Granted in the mobile version there were more ways to get it and the problem is that on pc there isn't and you need it for a lot of stuff. Prestige doesn't carry over between scenario changes which is really silly and should be fixed. It should also carry over between maps because of how difficult it is to earn it, if not, just make everything available through thaler. Because as it is it makes the game very hard to play for no reason. TLDR, fix prestige. Otherwise the game does a lot of improvements to the scenarios and overall UI but it's hard to enjoy because of the extremely bad prestige situation. This game also gates a lot of mobile basegame stuff on the DLC, and I understand why it's like that and wouldn't bother me if it weren't because the prestige earning and spending is so badly designed to the point where it's impossible to play a sandbox map because there are no main quests to earn it, and you desperately need it consistently for upgrades and early game building of really …4 found this helpful
Menus flooded with dlc stuff even if you don't have it. Full price is so high that i don't know how high was dev. No thanks.2 found this helpful
Annoying hand holding with frustrating pauses between messages, just long enough you think messages have finished so you start doing something, only for next message to block you and reset what you were doing. Wanted to play, looks charming and chill (I thought!!), but quit in rage! Maybe after 'tutorial' missions it gets better, will never know!2 found this helpful
Great fun, had a bit of trouble after a few hours, what with it crashing and failing to launch! Went round and round forums and community help to find no solutions that fixed it. Almost gave up on it, then i tried to play skyrim and that ran horribly, choppy and juddery, unplayable!!! Back to google, forum searches to find what was going on. managed to locate a solution, long story short i reinstalled the drivers for my graphics card and the game now works again. Smooth, chilled gameplay, will no doubt keep me amused for hours. Has a great Settlers retro feel to it
