About Cube Kingdoms
Survival City builder meets Auto-Battler
Cube Kingdoms is a medieval fantasy city-builder featuring an isometric voxel aesthetic. You build a settlement, manage its economy, protect it from attacks, and explore a vibrant overworld filled with factions, creatures, and dangers.Build Your Economy
In the Economy View, you establish production chains to sustain your settlement. This includes basic buildings like lumberjacks, quarries, and smithies, as well as specialized structures such as wells, charcoal kilns, or sanitation facilities. As your settlement grows, a dense and lively bustle of working inhabitants, transport routes, and resource flows emerges.Plan Your Defense
The Defense View focuses entirely on protecting your settlement. Here, you place walls, gates, traps, and station your troops. When an attack occurs, the game loads a dedicated battlefield: the attacker deploys their units at the edge, while your defenses attempt to hold the keep at the center. Combat plays out as an auto-battle, based on your preparation and positioning.A World Full of Factions
The Overworld Map reveals your surroundings. This is where you will find friendly and hostile castles, neutral settlements, and boss monsters, while merchants, armies, and scouts move across the land.Management and Progress
Several menus assist you in governing your kingdom:- A skill tree that unlocks various advantages.
- A happiness and needs overview for your inhabitants.
- Menus for recruitment, storage, trading, and commands.

It is fun and the dev working on improvements. I'd recommend it if you are into Stronghold.2 found this helpful
I like it. Nice loop. I hope for more updates, bugfixing, balancing and QoL, because the state of the game is holding it back. Big potential.2 found this helpful

So wishing steam would allow us give a neutral recommend. There's good bones here for a good game and like the concept. Building a town, defending your town, conquering others towns and building them and so on. hence I would recommend this. But now for the why I wouldn't recommend this yet. It feels like this game would have needed some more baking time for simple polish, UEX and bug fixing. few pointers in case the dev happens to read this. -snapping when building is temperamental as all hell. Doesn't want to snap or when it does there's this annoying little lag before it actually snaps and you might plant your building where ever your mouse happen to be when it finally planted. -Quite annoying to loose to a raid when some/all of your defenses for who knows what reason just isn't there. Several times my defending knights and/or archers just weren't there and couple of times even the walls were mysteriously missing. -The AI and unit pathing could use some work. Had several gate houses to all directions from my castle surrounded by knights. 1st 2 knights to closest gate house to enemies go trough that and the rest decide to run around the longest possible route to the enemies.…1 found this helpful
Still has some polish to be done, but overall got way better with the later fixes1 found this helpful
