Cyberplug

"Cyberplug" is a somewhat mediocre 2D retro platformer with a rather loose "cyberpunk" theme. What do you do in the game? There's a gimmick where you can turn into electricity. You need to collect points to progress to certain levels, adding a Metroidvania aspect to the game (sort of)... and no checkpoints, which is a real killer. At least it's not pixel "art"? The hand drawn stuff is almost charming... but not winning any awards. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. High speed plugging of cyber things is a guaranteed good time, it's like if Sonic the Hedgehog was a better game and had more sewers

It's a fun small platformer and easy to play and understand, speedrunning vs your ghosts is fun
