Danghost

Danghost is a pretty fun tetris like match puzzle game that takes themes from fighting games. The gameplay itself is pretty fun actually, and there are multiple characters with different special abilities. Story mode was somewhat intriguing, with a mix of different gameplay and puzzles. I didn't care too much for the story, but I had a good time going through the chapters. The music and soundtracks also vibed quite well with the game. One downside is that solo play gets somewhat limited against AI, and even the hardest difficulty was very easy (they moved faster but ended up losing even faster because of that). Overall, pretty good game. It may not be something you play for a super long time, but it's fun at least for a couple hours.

Underrated puzzle game with impressive visuals, addicting gameplay, and a story bound to entertain. Danghost is deceptively simple at first, but will continue to surprise and challenge you with things beyond your imagination.

Gorgeous art, fantastic soundtrack, and addictive gameplay. Zany characters and narrative that I never felt were overmuch. Really amazing first game for this studio!

Danghost is an enjoyable puzzle game i which you you switch between building chains and absorbing them to clear the board and build meter, which you can then use to either attack/hinder other players or provide assistance on your own side of the board. The story mode is reasonably challenging, though I do think there was a difficulty spike towards the end, It won't take too long to beat if you've played other puzzle games. The story mode has a bit of variety in the sense that you are asked to play different permutations of the main game, such as asking you to play ghosts to make specific patterns, or have puzzles to clear the board and other such changes to the main formula in addition to having completely separate minigames. I didn't see a way to play these modes separately solo other than the minigames, but unfortunately these are the weakest part of the game. The game has a great art style and presentation, which is coupled with a lighthearted story that has a sense of humor. I don't play puzzle games for the story, but I wasn't just trying to fast forward through it (even though you can). There is also a versus mode, but it is local only and I haven't tried it. Howeve…

Yes, please! All of it. All what you get is great. Simple enough for parties yet fun enough to keep you playing afterwards. Just download the demo and see for yourself. Bet you will keep playing. The artistic direction is gorgeous, from the backgrounds to character designs and its execution. The writing is, eh, okay, Just don't expect Puyo Puyo™ Tetris© (one) levels of hidden references and genious humorous writing. Technology-wise I wish they could have kept it in the oven for a bit longer. It's the studio's first work after all. The gameplay (competitively) gets diminished somewhat with the highest difficulties being artificially impossible to play by any means other than place-spam. What a skill issue of mine. But you aren't likely to play it competitively anyways. PS: Guess that my previous review got removed. Please be nice to the devs unlike me. They deserve love. This time I actually bought the thing, okay?
