About Dark Era

In the cosmic strategy game "Dark Era", humanity faces the ultimate test of endurance in a universe on the brink of eternal darkness. Set in a time 10^40 years after the birth of the universe, where black holes and dying neutron stars dominate the cosmos, you must lead the remnants of civilization to salvation. Stationed at a frontier outpost orbiting a supermassive black hole, your mission is to not just survive but to thrive and initiate the rebirth of the universe.
Just remember, in the vast expanse of space, hope is as crucial as air.

Build and Upgrade Your Cosmic Bastion:

Everything in your outpost is under your control, from advanced research stations to essential life-support systems. Start with basic facilities and gradually evolve your station into a beacon of hope and technological wonder capable of creating the "New Universe". Resource scarcity is a constant threat, so manage your supplies wisely and plan for long-term survival.

Manage Human and AI Collaboration:

In "Dark Era," humanity has evolved alongside advanced artificial intelligence, collectively known as "Post-Humanus." Balance the unique needs and strengths of genetically engineered humans and AIs.

Master the Complexities of Space Travel and Resource Management:

Navigate the cosmos using a sophisticated map system. Your journey involves exploring diverse sectors, extracting crucial resources from celestial bodies, and defending your territory. Efficient resource management, including the critical handling of black hole mass, is vital for the continuity of your outpost.

Engage with Other Factions:

The universe is populated by various factions with different philosophies and objectives. Some seek to embrace the darkness, while others aim for perpetual digital existence. Your interactions can range from diplomatic negotiations to outright conflict, as you strive to unite or conquer these groups under your vision for a new universe.

Pursue the Ultimate Scientific Endeavor:

The goal of "Dark Era" is the ambitious "New Universe" project, which aims to trigger a new Big Bang by merging a supermassive black hole. This scientific marvel offers a chance to restart the cosmos, but the journey is fraught with challenges. Overcome these obstacles, and you may just forge a new dawn for life itself.

Dive into a Rich Lore and Educational Experience:

As you explore, discover detailed entries in the "Educational Journal", which cover fascinating cosmic phenomena like "Hawking Radiation", "Warp Drive", "Proton Decay” and many others. These entries not only enrich the game's lore but also provide educational insights into the mysteries of the universe.

Defend and Expand Your Outpost:

Be prepared for hostile encounters as rival factions attempt to thwart your plans. Use cutting-edge technology, including antimatter weapons, laser defences, and gravitational waves, to secure your outpost and dominate crucial sectors of space.
"Dark Era" challenges you to rethink survival in the farthest reaches of time and space. Will you succeed in rekindling the stars and ushering in a new era for humanity?
