Dead By Murder

Fun for a few hours. Sort of repetitive in the sense that you need to manage your time super hard for some cases, and others are done in seconds, so you make yourself a handwritten guide on who to accuse, how to get that conclusion, so you don't get fired before the end of the game. I think it's worth the price and fun, just be aware that you'll see many of the same things over and over until it's easy for you

The non-serious atmosphere really doesn't suit a whodunit style game. Also the game is more about pure luck than actual deduction (even when you know who the killer is, the game still forces large amounts of RNG luck)

I do not normally write reviews or game on Steam, but I am making an exception. I will start off by saying that I accept the criticisms that call this a mere memory game, with to few clues to figure out the right choices. Also, I do think there are some moral choices, despite what the developer intended. Yes, these things are true. BUT, here is what I do like! 1. The game is really cheap, even when not on sale. I mean this was probably made by one developer, who likely spent months making it. If it were $15 I would think it was way to expensive. I got it on sale, but even at $3 it would still be a fair price. 2. It has a simple interface and works completely off of text (except for pictures of the characters). I like games that can spark and keep my interest with virtually no graphics. I am an old fart who grew up playing games like Zork, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and Star Trader on a black and white Palm Pilot. I LOVE games like Bioshock Infinity that really sparked my interest with beautiful scenery and engaging art work. I do not need those things though, as much as I need a good game.
