Good puzzle game, slightly repetitive on renaming known people though

Worth it if it's on sale. It's a bit repetitive, but very intuitive and a decent few hours of clicking around

Short but fun deduction game. It's pretty easy, and can sometimes feel a litle repetitive, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

Confidential Killings is a short and pretty easy deduction game slotting itself well into the genre of the more well-known Obra Dinn and Roottrees. I'd recommend CK to anyone considering trying these type of puzzles, or wanting a nice relaxing evening without too much brain requirements. It is thus a soft recommendation, and for deduction veterans I'd say only get it on sale. The biggest negative from an investigation point of view is the game not giving you enough info for a case to hold up, making you have to submit the case notes based on circumstantial information, but the "fill in the blanks" text is detailed enough it is pretty apparent what kind of motive or murder the game expects you to give. I guess it does have a story-explanation with several of the killers not being arrested that does support the gameplay's lack of firm evidence. But it is a bit frustrating to play as a somewhat bumbling detective in first-person.

A decent experience, similar to the Duck Detective and Golden Idol games. The cloze puzzles are arguably more on the casual side, but I don't subscribe to the notion that every game needs to be super-difficult to be worthwhile. The game has a nice art style and story, decent mechanics, and okay puzzles. I'd take this game over, say, Feline Forensics any day. Rating: ★★★★☆

personally I enjoyed this game a lot, my main gripe with it would be the fact that you had to put in the name of characters you already knew but it honestly wasn't that much of a drawback but if you are looking for a simple deduction game with an overarching story I would reccomend this one.
