You have 3 characters to choose from: a male fighter dwarf, a male half-elf fighter mage, or a female elf mage, each of which give a unique flair to the game. - Be prepared to fight your way through over 25 dungeons - each with 8 floors within! Explore icy caverns, three ominous towers and a fantastic final dungeon!
- Along the way, you will battle over 30 different monsters - including a variety of Tanar'ri, Mephits and Golems.
- Avoid treacherous traps; solve mind boggling puzzles. The ability to jump and fly adds a new dimension to your quest - but be careful not to fall!

Unplayable, game is buggy, and crashes a lot, so save offend. Controls are bad, and they have platforming which isn't bad with saving. Starting items and a lot of other items are different then the 3DO version, but not different enough not to use those walkthroughs if you need help, just know your items maybe different. After reach level 14 the Game crashes to much and becomes unplayable tried the DGvoodoo2 fix helped very little. "There has been an unhandled exception, so this application must close. Code: c0000005 Flags: 0 Address: 409f35 EAX: 0 EBX: 42ad10 EDX: 220" (or similiar). Not sure this game was play tested the whole way through, had little problems up till the second skull level then it was unhandled exception error after clearing out half the map load the save kill an enemy unhandled exception reload and repeat. Anybody finish this game? Only thing I can do is get tinking with settings and hope I find one that works.4 found this helpful
Even though I grew up with keyboard only controls, I can't bring myseld to play the game even longer. It is sort of frustrating to try to navigate through the narrow corridors, since most of the floor of the beginning area is...well, ice. So you slide and slide and can't have a proper look for navigation purposes. Makes me wonder if it just aged badly or if the game was not good even back when it came out.1 found this helpful
Whoever thought it would be fun to make the characters slide with no real counterplay to it along with the person who thought it'd be great idea to rerelease the game as is should be tried at Haga and be prohibited from even touching any electrical object. With each year I'm more and more glad that 90s are over, even if last 3 years mostly outweight all the previous atrocities, the fact that some people have fond memories with those eldritch horrors is mindblowing. If even Bethesda can rerelease their games in more playable and 21st century friendly way, you know you went for the nostalgia cash grab. While the videos are top notch and the game itself looks good (don't judge me, I have a weird taste...) playing it or even watching as someone does can be used as a torture method in Guantanamo. I could reach complete enlightment, transcend the material realm, name every person that ever lived and find the missing link in human evolution, just to avoid ever coming back to it.
