As someone who loves JRPGs, this fusion with a Roguelike twist is fun and addictive! It hits hard at first, but the moment you figure out how to stack skills and create a powerful synergy, the game completely opens up. I managed to adapt after each battle and use monster weaknesses to counter them and that eventually got me to the final boss on my second run! Loved the comedic approached of the NPC's in the game, wish there's more?1 found this helpful
A tough turn-based 'classic RPG' with some nice pixel work. I say tough, as I was convinced this had rogue-like elements to it, where I was supposed to die and reloop with the added experience/items/abilities, etc. Truth is... I'm probably bad. The idea is to make your way through the cave system, where you pick from 3 options which encounter you want for the next level. The encounters are tough if, like me, you don't invest your starting gold correctly and buy revive items. £5 seems more than fair price wise. One I'll keep an eye on and try again on Steam Deck to see if I can get past encounter 4! Native controller support. Plays fairly well on Steam Deck.
