About Detective AI
Detective AI consists of a police investigation and strategy plot, where in each new case the assassin improves their ways of killing, causing a greater difficulty for the player to unravel the case. The objective of the game is to find out the killer at the end of 6 cases, they can be any of the characters, chosen randomly at the beginning of each game. In order to give the feeling of being a detective, the game cannot be limited to a script or linear cases, for this, the assassin is controlled by an artificial intelligence that improves its methods based on your playstyle. Thus, it is composed of randomizations, whether on the killer, method of murder, locations, characters in each case, murder weapons, dialogues, etc.. So every time a new game is created, you will have a new experience as a detective, knowing that it will be their actions as a detective that will guide the course of the story.

a buggy game and not intresting2 found this helpful
Very buggy, and when I made a mistake with my notebook, despite being given 3 attempts it froze on the 1st attempt and i had to restart.1 found this helpful
I like the concept, but I found this game very buggy. Sometimes clicking the dialogue options, Shift and Esc buttons don't work. It was so frustrating for me I could barely make it past Case One. There are also some spelling and grammatical errors. I think some words weren't even translated correctly or consistently (when I decided to come back to the crime scene, Case One became "Caso One".) I will admit, there were some funny moments and characters, especially the protagonist's remarks when exploring the police station. As for the graphics, my only complaint would be that the hand-drawn dialogue sprites are visually jarring and out of place for the rest of the game's graphics, which is composed of pixels. They could have been drawn in pixels too, I liked the pixel art. Even if it's free, I wouldn't recommend this game for the results-based gamer who also wants to chill. If this game ever gets updated for the better, I might just leave a more postive review. This game has potential, it just needs more polish.
"Detective AI" is a badly made top down JRPG looking adventure detective game with a supposedly clever AI that gets progressively more difficult as you solve the mysteries, which almost nobody bothered to do. It's a buggy, clunky, badly designed mess with poor writing, phoned in pixelcrap "art", and worse gameplay. There's an overwhelming amount of mediocre Visual Novel/E-book style cutscenes in this game. The developers failed one of the most basic, fundamental requirements of game design.. "Show, don't tell." So you'll spend a huge amount of time not playing the game, but clicking through endless lines of poorly written VN text cutscenes because the developers couldn't work out how to relate their narrative through the game mechanics, and decided instead it would be better to compete with reading a book for your time. We're here to play games, not read through hours of garbage intersituals. Your gaming rig is not a Kindle. This features really godawful pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matte…
Buggy even after almost four years. Within the first five minutes there are spelling errors. The evidence does not work, Kyle is useless. I like the pixel art only. It could do without the drawings. Really tried to give this game a chance. Take my advice and don't download.
