About One Way Mirror: AI
Step into the neon haze of justice. One Way Mirror: AI is a procedural detective experience set in a police precinct, where every case, suspect, and conversation is dynamically AI generated — and no two mysteries are ever the same. You’re not following a script — you’re living the investigation. Talk freely with anyone you meet: the weary desk sergeant, the sharp-tongued partner, the nervous witnesses, or the suspects who think they can outsmart you. Every line of dialogue is powered by artificial intelligence, making each exchange unpredictable, human, and deeply personal.Piece together clues, chase down leads, and confront the truth in a city that hides it well. Your intuition, your words, and your judgment are your only real weapons — and every wrong move could let the real criminal walk free.Create your own detective and make them truly yours. Customize their appearance and shape the investigator you want to be. Inside the precinct, you’ll question suspects, examine testimonies, and follow every contradiction in search of the truth. Every interrogation could bring you closer to the killer — or lead you further away. The truth is out there, somewhere between the smoke and the silence.

This game has fantastic potential, it is a great story generator creating a unique murder mystery case each time with unique witnesses and personalities each time. Art style works great and good infinite variety in suspects. Questioning the witnesses is interesting and you can also email departments to give you more info on the case and get unique answers each time Each case with its unique witnesses makes me feel kind of like I am transported into a new story each time, it is very cool I love the baseline here, it is my dream type of game and I appreciate this is early access - I will say the caveats below more out of love and to want to see the game get closer to its potential; My biggest caveat here is that if you are expecting a perfect puzzle game or for each case to be 100% solvable, this isn't really that type of game yet. To have the conversations and unique responses etc it runs off a language model AI for everything so all the interviews, the emails from departments and talks with other officers use it. This is brilliant for creating unique stories etc but there are 2 main drawbacks currently. 1 - the AI can hallucinate, I've had innocent people tell lies contradict…6 found this helpful
I have played a couple cases of this game. Whilst there is clearly a lot to be done, It is obviously a great concept and has potential to be an amazing game. Overall it feels like a mix of Shadows of Doubt and LA Noire. The biggest asset I think this game has is that you can choose exactly what to say to the AI, or what to ask the specialist departments to provide. This way almost all the leads are of your own intuition and some may be completely dead ended. This system is a lot of fun and one lead may be the difference between cracking a case or going back to square one. AI being AI it may forget things if you speak to suspects multiple times. Sometimes the individual suspect will for some reason have their backgrounds overlap with other suspects when they shouldn't really. Nonetheless this is an early access game and it relies on people playing it for development to prosper, so I definitely recommend!1 found this helpful
After installing the game then installed the AI separately which took a significantly long time despite having decent internet speed. Once I tried to play, it took an unreasonably long time to set up the case and then once in game, all I said to one of this characters was "Hi" and it was stuck on "thinking" as a response for so long I just turned it off at that point. Spent over an hour from point of game being downloaded to the point I turned it off. Whereas I didn't expect it to be super speedy with it being early access etc. I would expect that it would take beyond an hour to from point of confirmed initial installation and such long response times from characters. It's a shame as the concept sounded really good, and I might come back once it's been developed further but at this point I wasn't willing to give my money to something so unplayable and hope it's going to be improved. Therefore, asked for a refund. For the record I played on steam deck, so specs should have been enough from what I'm aware.
