Dream Shell

I had a solid time with the 2.4 hrs I've poured into this game so far. It's a 3rd person cyberpunk RPG. The story revolves around us diving into our patient's minds to alleviate em of their ailments. Looks good graphically, has some large areas to explore, and has voice overs in both English and Chinese. Some may be AI tho. Not bad for the price tag. The ending was an unexpected surprise!

It's a really good sci-fi story-driven game. The concept is a bit like Paprika — entering dreams to heal patients. The shooting mechanics feel great too, with a variety of firearms to collect. The story is also very engaging.

The game concept of 'Dream Shell' is outstanding! The vast open city is filled with numerous explorable areas, and the deeper I delve into the game, the more immersed I become in its captivating narrative. In this era of explosive technological advancement, we ought to pay more attention to our inner selves. Avila's story deeply moved me; the ending pleasantly surprised me, and the patient's heartfelt gratitude at the end brought me a profound sense of peace.

Dream Shell has the potential to be more than generic Steam asset flip shovel-ware, but would need to be heavily re-worked by the developer. The combat is almost passable but I'm not going to be walking around aimlessly scanning an empty asset flip environment on some NPC guy's fetch quest. The game's futuristic hub and Cyberpunk setting looks nice on the surface and exploring in the asset flip flying car is cool but gets old after five minutes. I quit the game and went to sleep after the first area. The story is filled with yawn inducing, pointless dialogue, written and badly voiced by AI. The main protagonist is also completely bland outside of her obsession with wearing department store Mom jeans from 2006. The game would be better served if the developer stripped out all the boring aspects and worked on tightening up the controls, focused more on the gunplay and being a Cyberpunk 3rd person shooter. Can't recommend Dream Shell in its current state, but it's at least cheaper and more effective than an Ambien prescription.

Inglés: Visually, the game is highly appealing and the story is gripping; the creator's continuous support is truly appreciated. However, the main issue lies in the level design vs. Unreal Engine 5 physics. Rocky and irregular areas constantly snag the character's collision, causing unexpected crashes (Fatal Error in RenderingThread) and death loops upon loading the save file.  I strongly recommend that the developer simplifies the terrain's collision meshes or adds an "Unstuck" option to the pause menu while they work on a permanent fix. The red stars are a great incentive, but the current terrain turns collecting them into a technical risk rather than a gameplay challenge. With a couple of movement optimization patches, this game will be a masterpiece. Español: El juego visualmente es muy atractivo y la historia engancha, se agradece el soporte continuo del creador.
