[h1] Story / Gameplay [/h1] A childhood dream comes true, there is a land full of sweets that seems made for children. There's just one catch, all the cotton candy has been taken from you. Welcome to Dreamlands: Cotton Candy Hunt. Dreamlands is still unexplored and holds so many secrets. At the beginning of the game you can also decide to start the adventure as either a woman or a man, named Macy or Luke. The goal is simple, you have to find and collect cotton candy in each level to complete it and advance. Control is via the keyboard, as we already know from other games in this genre. There are many skill passages that require a good jump or just logical thinking and will put your skills to the test. But you will quickly notice that you are not alone on the unknown planet and that it harbors some dangers. The whole thing is accompanied by a wonderful soundtrack in the background, which invites you to dream and relax. Some levels can be a little cramped up and punishing, also moving platforms are little wonky, but overall it's a pretty entertaining one!
Dreamlands has the bones of a fun platformer - clearly themed, good level design, interesting timer and lever mechanics. But it's very small (30-60mins) and lacks polish. Very easy - kids will enjoy. I hope the devs keep working on this game - adding more levels, some new mechanics, more polish. It's got the bones of a really fun platformer, just needs a bit more love.
