About Dreamscape Abyss
In Dreamscape Abyss, your only goal is to walk and explore your dream worlds. When you fall asleep, you will enter your dream world and you can explore as much as you like before continuing on. Discover new areas and search for unique items that you can use to help your delve deeper into your dreams.
Unlike most other games, you will not find any action or heavy dialogue present. Similar to games like LSD Dream Emulator or Yume Nikki, your only goal will be to visit each dream world as you encounter them.
There is a large variety of dreams that you may encounter while sleeping, but there will be no combat or threats to be found. Once you explore every dream, you will know what to do next...

- Walk through and explore 20+ unique dream worlds found in the game.
- Collect various items for you to use to navigate to previously unvisited areas.
- Discover new locations by interacting with objects in the environment such as doors, statues, mushroom creatures, kappa, ghosts, and much more.
- Most dreams are encountered semi-randomly. The same object you've interacted with before might take you to a new location next time you find it.
- Wake up and return to reality if you want to exit a dream world at any time.

if you want a more modern yume nikki then play dreamscape abyss. you can actually move diagonally, crazy tech
I've only played for my first half hour, but this game sucked me into it, and it clearly has a lot of character.
[h2]A fairly short - but sweet - Yume Nikki fan game[/h2] Actually has an ending unlike a lot which get dropped by the developer, it's got it's issues, like you very often keep going through on one-way trips to an area you've already been, which is pretty annoying, and makes finding new areas annoying, and the walk to the nexus doors is a bit long, even with the shoes, but still, not a bad game. If you're into yume nikki I'd suggest give it a try, and if you're into this and have never played yume nikki, absolutely give yume nikki a try, both this game and yume nikki are free, so what have you got to lose either way? You can find a guide for both if you get to a point you're sick of looking around for whatever you need, but both are best experienced at least at first by just wandering around and finding things. This game is fairly short by comparison, but I found it pretty charming, the "effects" could perhaps do with a better menu, maybe a wheel so you can see what you're scrolling to, and things like the closet feel like they could do with more fleshing out, I thought maybe there were going to be different outfits, but if not then it feels really weird to just be able to look …
Clearly inspired by a certain RPGMaker title, but without that game's aesthetic power or... character walking speed. It's a bit of a boring drag, with maps too big for its locations.
Excellent, sedate and fascinating =)
