Dreamtopia (2020)

Dreamtopia is a Unity based isometric action/puzzle game where you run along a fixed route, negotiating simple timing obstacles and the occasional slider-puzzle minigame. It's certainly different and unique to see what is basically a minigame itself having a minigame. There's no in-game graphics settings and no way to tweak the very simplistic visuals here, likewise there's no control options, which may render the game unplayable for some gamers. The simple, shallow gameplay is something one would expect more from a mobile app than a serious PC game. The game is completely free. Nothing speaks more to a developers belief in themselves and their product than making their game available for everyone without remuneration. This is certainly a gesture that shows dedication to the gaming industry. It's a shame in this case that the implementation is below the minimum standards a dedicated PC game should offer to enthusiasts. There's no "maybe" option in Steam, unfortunately. I feel this might do better if it was released as a browser game or a mobile app so the game can reach a more appropriate target audience, and the developer could even get paid for the work they did throug…

Apart from the music and the artwork, which I liked a lot, there isn't much to enjoy. The game is way too easy, way too short and quite boring. It takes about 30 - 40 minutes to finish the game.

I get that Dreamtopia is an older game, but even keeping that in mind, it just wasn’t that great.

Very "Casual" Game with a little anxiety when passing through traps, the best thing about this game is the scenery 1000% looks very breath taking in the snowy levels. Only down side is probably the amount of repetitive 3x3 puzzles.
