About duplicity loop

"Alice followed the white rabbit into a fantastical land where everything was topsy-turvy, and everyone was mad."

The story begins when Abriel falls into a Wonderland distinctly different from the story books: a world filled with magical girls devoted to fighting for the sake of the Queen. As Abriel tries to find her place in Wonderland and face her past, she must also face the reality of her situation: in Wonderland, nothing (everything) makes sense.

duplicity loop features branching paths, bad endings, and one true end - if Abriel can reach it.

This game is not suitable for younger audiences due to its depiction of darker topics.

A lovely, small story of familiar elements. Stumbled on the true ending on the first go! I would have *loved* to play the original design plan of POV switch and several➿loops. ❤️‍🩹

I saw this game for a split second in the background of a YouTube video, and the look of it plus the name have compelled me to play it. Absolute chance encounter, but I'm glad it happened!! I have played through the whole game, at least I think so, and it was great!! I'm assuming that the good ending is the one where
Azazel leaves, and Abriel and Afollyon kiss and turn into souls
?? If not, HELP lol, cause I feel like I've ran down every possibility. Like, my gallery is all filled out, so I'm guessing I've done everything I could? A way to view your ending completion progress would be great, I'd love if that was added :)
I also could not save Dantaliar to save my lifeeee so maybe that's where my problem is but I feel like I've tried everything, and the game pretty much directly says she lived on borrowed time, but still...

(I also have not figured out the significance of numbers...)
Anyway, I've thoroughly enjoyed the angle under which this game tackles faith;
I have never played a game where a protagonist is questioning things so much and so upfront. Of course, it's also due to them being a product of someone in…

duplicity loop is a story-focused visual novel developed by batbeato and postmanic and published by batbeato that combines dark fantasy, psychological drama, magical girl fiction, and surreal adventure into a deeply character-driven narrative. Inspired by the themes and imagery of Alice in Wonderland, the game presents a version of Wonderland that is far removed from whimsical childhood fantasy. Instead, it serves as a mysterious and often unsettling realm where emotional wounds, hidden truths, and personal conflicts are given physical form. Through branching choices, multiple endings, and a strong emphasis on character development, the game delivers a narrative experience that is as introspective as it is imaginative. The story centers on Abriel, a young woman who unexpectedly finds herself drawn into a strange alternate world. Wonderland is not presented as a place of wonder and innocence but rather as a complex society governed by unfamiliar rules and dominated by the influence of a powerful Queen. Upon arriving, Abriel encounters magical girls who serve this ruler and quickly becomes entangled in conflicts she does not fully understand. As she struggles to adapt to her new sur…

This game was definitely different from my usual fare. I felt that there were some interesting themes touched on by the story, but may not have been fully explored in the shorter plot. I thought the writing read well at times, but there were some choices of words and phrasing that felt a bit repetitive. Fairly fun to play through with a friend.

For free it's such a steal. Unlocked all gallery images so I've probably seen most of it, and I don't really have complaints. Pretty and at least somewhat meaningful, though your mileage may vary.

Personally liked the story, the main story does have darker themes but the true ending is happier end.
