Its very well made and a suprisingly enjoyable play, despite only currently being in its stage of very early access. The Open World is vast and rich with exploration and challenges to meet you head on. The game does need a lot more polish as I would say some of the current problems Ive dealt with have been the rather lack luster and useless map, which leads to a lot of trips where youll lose everything, not being able to locate an entrance back to the safezone. Some of the combat and quests need better difficulty balancing. Additionally while I will acknowledge Im running this on a Steam Deck which obviously has heavy limits compared to an actual PC, There are moments with severe fps drops, momentary freezing, or occasionally falling throught the world. I personally give this game & developers a lot of kudos for doing something different and making a Wasteland themed Open World as these genres are very few and usually not quite up to the level of what Dustland has going for it. Its a game with high potential and I dearly, sincerely hope to see it grow and shine in the years to come.6 found this helpful

been having an absolute blast in this game. even with the bugs and the clunk. i hope the devs have not given up on this game. not very active in their discord, cause i have pointed out some pretty obvious game altering bugs....with that said. the game is fun just running around and exploring, trying to figure out the quest. im a super huge extraction fan, and love to see it in this survival type game. but iots 13$ and a believe to be a small dev team so not being to hard on them. but def would like a new updated road map.... as far as pvp/coop, there is no player base to do any pvp 1 in game currently and about to be 2 once i launch. but co op they spawn you randomly in the map and not with your friend on team, so you have to go meet up. not a huge deal but kind of annoying5 found this helpful

[u][b] Gameplay [/b][/u] I feel that the exploring and traversing the sand is cool and hope that there are vehicles planned. The combat is not the best and at times i feel that shooting was not meant for this game. Melee combat can be good however the animations could be better. The AI can be Re-Spawning so fast you hardly get to loot there bodys. No ability to place markers on the map. [u][b] Graphics/Frames [/b][/u] Graphics are okay but there are Lag spikes from the storm and enemies spawning into the game. Its mostly from the weather though.... [u][b] Progression [/b][/u] You have to grind in this game and it does no reward you for playing solo. Upgrade your character and perks from artefacts and essence system. Complete mission objectives,. [u][b] Final Thoughts [/b][/u] This wont compete with DUNE or any other survival game for that matter as it has a serious issue with the balancing and most of the elements seem like there has no thought been put into delivering them and fine tuning something Challenging but balanced at the same time. The character creation is unfinished in my eyes and needs a lot more effort from the developers. No body seems to be playing As of now…1 found this helpful
