✦ AI summary

Players appreciate Elementium's creative puzzle mechanics and interesting core ideas, but the game suffers from significant technical and design issues that undermine the experience. Common complaints include frequent crashes, glitchy gameplay like despawning objects, unresponsive controls that make object manipulation difficult, overly bright lighting, and puzzle variety that feels repetitive despite some clever concepts. While some players note the game has potential for an indie title with limited resources, most feel the execution falls short of Portal-like puzzle games, with poor explanat

Okay, firstly, I do hope the developer takes the time to read these reviews. He/she has some real potential with this game, but it still requires some work. As it stands right now, I cannot recommend this game. The mechanics need a good polishing to really be usable. Seriously.. Adding scroll funtionality to drag the objects in your hand even slightly forward/backward would make the controls so much more friendly. The game could so benefit from SOME sort of context... It feels like you are playing Portal with GLADoS muted. The map quality is GOOD, but ultimately bland. And the lighting is so overly saturated that it feels like you are playing a J.J. Abraams movie. And the fact that the desktop icon for the game is still the default Unreal logo... I just feel like the dev should have put more time into it before cashing out. Overall... As the game stands I would give it a 4/10. If the game were to get a little more love and learn how to captivate its players, it has the potential to be something fun and unique.

Elementium, a nice little old (2018) indie 3D puzzle game with cool ideas and probably no production budget. This has been sleeping in my library for so long. The negative ratings are too exagerrated, maybe due to high expectations and comparisons to Portal. The game can be a bit glitchy but it's not a real problem, the controls and polish could use some work and I guess the reviews back then expected it was a work in progress, but looking back, it obviously isn't, and it's ok in the state it is in, considering most of us got this in the days of cheap indie bundles. For completionists, all achievements are working and are simply for level progression and reaching the end. The game isn't too long. the levels are short (if you have to restart), It's not difficult and if you're stuck, there's a walkthrough on youtube. I was expecting the worst due to the reviews but the graphics and the length and achievements got me interested, and I'm positively surprised.

There is some potential, althought the puzzles feel a bit repetitive, but the absurd number of crashes in such a short time really made me give up.

Although the game has some really interesting core ideas, it fails to deliver the satisfaction a player would expect from Portal-esque games. I experienced a multitude of glitches, such as despawning cubes or falling through the ground myself. Additionally, once the player dies, respawning takes an infuriatingly long time, mostly due to the unbearably slow walking speed of the character. The graphics look somewhat cool. However, the dev should definitely not have opted for the max value on all lighting settings there were. Furthermore, even though the dev attempts to slowly increase the difficulty, overall all the puzzles are way too easy, and the only real difficulty the game provides are through its inconsistent controls and mechanics, which are either not explained at all or ridiculously bad implemented (For example there is a cube that directs gravity, but the controls to rotate items are so insanely bad that a simple task of a 180° turn develops into a 20 second ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of simply trying out every axis with the mouse). The destructible walls often dont get destroyed, even though the burning propane tank is directly in front of them and sometimes physics do apparently not app…

Interesting idea - confusing implementation and ultimately frustrating at least with mouse and keyboard. Hard to see and manipulate what to do . Might try again someday.
