About Elven City Simulator

ABOUT THIS GAME

You are the Elven Spirit – a leader charged by the Elder Gods to Revive the wasteland and discover lost riches of old times, elven's last bastion against the Sunstorm that destroyed the old world. Unlike most survival city builders where your focus is on a city and resources, in Elven City Simulator you must not just build a prosperous settlement. You teach elfs for their own specializations, make decisions to set them on the path of Forest, High or Dark Elves.

The wilderness holds many hidden dangers, and absolute darkness will batter your population into stress. If your settlement should fall, then the Revive may end. You have to guide the elves through exciting missions. You will get to know the local flora, fauna and even different races.

Build your settlement

Elves in the struggle to survive. Utilize each profession's strengths as you balance their varying needs, from resting and culinary needs to taste in luxuries and recreation. Will you manufacture worked stone, brew jam, and bake buns to boost morale and comfort in the face of the oppressive hostility of the darkness, or will you prioritize the needs of one species over another to operate more swiftly for the Minotaur Chieftain who is looking for your enchanted trees?

Transform the world around

Experience core city builder gameplay enhanced by roguelite replayability. Build and manage settlements, all while collecting valuable meta-progression resources to upgrade the Druid Knowledge. Feel the pressure of the shadows while the Minotaur Chieftain demands constant resources while recurring afflictions pose an inevitable threat to your settlements. Manage your army to secure your success at any one settlement before moving on to establish another, constantly seeking new opportunities for growth, taking on unique challenges across multiple biomes. How will you build each settlement to not just ensure the best life for the citizens, but for your fate as Elven Spirit as well?

Best Old School Game Traditions

With dozens of gameplay modifiers and three distinct biomes, every city location presents unique challenges for even the most resourceful Elven Spirit. Adjust your strategy to changing weather conditions and experiment with building and perks that can help your society thrive or bring it to ruin. Will you take on and complete additional objectives and delve deeper into the dangerous darkness for potential boons, or will you approach with caution to ensure you operate within your capabilities? All the while, you never know what tidings the Minotaur will bring with the next flight of fireflies, and the wasteland holds treasures and resources, but also ancient threats under the stone columns of the old empire.

Replayable and Relaxable

Laying the foundations for a new city is one of the most exciting moments in a city-building game. In Elven City Simulator, you'll have the opportunity to repeatedly experience this by creating new settlements, while still interacting with new artifacts in a growing world.

I really want to love this game, it has such a nice premise and the base ideas are there, it just needs a lot more time to flatten some of the issues. Some of the language barrier can be rough but for me the biggest issues are some unclear/not great AI functioning, and the game seems to be very crash prone. In my slightly-over-one-hour time in the game it randomly crashed to desktop with no error message three separate times. I'll keep an eye on it for the future and will update my review if they can sort these out, but right now I can't really recommend it unless you are specifically wanting to help submit feedback etc. (and nothing wrong with that, of course.)

This game crashes a lot, they need to concentrate on that aspect and fix it. The game is fun, maybe would want to have an unlimited access to elves that you can spawn instead survive with the ones you have alive. The workers need a better AI, as if they are tired and hungry, they might go sleep first and then die out of hunger. I'll keep on playing when i'm not pissed anymore of the crashing out and losing my unsaved data.

The game is really fun and I like the mechanics, but every time I get to a certain point in upgrading it just crashes and now I can't load my save anymore, it just crashes every time. Not sure what's causing it, but if that would get fixed I'd give it a solid 7/10 so far. :)

Very cute city building game with an original Elven twist to it, I see it having a lot of promise and will be keeping an eye on it. The zombies in the dark are pretty creepy, would love to see combat / spooky threats in the future!

Ok so this review is mainly for the developers for improvemnts. First of all your screen resolution ui panel is a joke. Switching in ascending order thou the not so mall list of available resolutions per click is bad design. Each click takes 4-8 seconds before you know which resolution you get and if that resolution eats the panel you are ♥♥♥♥♥♥. Aynway you missed 3440x1440 so i had to make two round. Guess how pissed I was. Your scoll function increments by fix units. Better increment by a percentage like scale*=0.1. feels more fluid. I guess you already know about the graphical issue in most buildings as they appear cut into strips on diffrent devices(guess a tiling bug) so i wont go in on this. Not found where i can place a maximum of wood to gather except clicking every single tree which is ugly. Found no clear production and need informations. For us city builders we like clear need and consuption data so we can derive the count of buildings, workers and resource sites we will need. Game kicked the bucket after pressing X key in fullscreen and froze. And that is my testing for now. All in all a nice game but still a lot to do. I'll come around for another test in a few months.
