The battle was lost ages ago and now the barren ruins hold nothing but echoes of once great civilization. Amidst the dust, few that remain are still clinging to their existence, far beyond the point where they could be called human.But the hope still lingers.
On the outskirts of the forgotten city, a lone soul awakens from millennial slumber. Lost and forgotten, he finds himself in catacombs and now his way lies through the treacherous ruins to the very heart of it.
Enoch – Underground is a hardcore action-RPG title set in an ancient city destroyed long time ago. The player takes control of the awakened – one of the few survivors left in the city. Without a goal and without memories he starts his way through the ruins striving to find his place in this hostile world.
The gameplay is based on classic action RPGs with such features as complex environments, precise battle system, and generous loot, but makes accessibility a staple of game’s design.
The character progression is entirely loot-based, eliminating the need for complex character menus while retaining flexibility and customization options. Each weapon type has unique stats and attack patterns, armor can provide additional protection and sometimes valuable buffs, trinkets and mutagens allow to change character’s abilities, providing an advantage in combat.
Encounters require patience and precision but give just enough room for error to get familiar with enemy’s attack patterns and develop a strategy to withstand them. The game is balanced to be hard but fair so that completing the playthrough gives the sense of achievement while the process of doing so does not feel like a chore.

I stand behind my curator review. I think the game has nice gameplay and I didn't feel it was a diablo clone. Pro: I love the unique fighting styles Not hard at all to manage inventory and weapons and the hotbar makes it easy to use various special skills or items. Cons: I still don't like games where I cant save on demand, especially when you die and hit continue all the mobs are back but the healing pots are gone. I know the author intended that to be part of the challenge but it usually means to me there is either 1. not much time to complete or 2. Not much replay value. I'll be interested in the fixes players are experiencing, and updates in the future.11 found this helpful
Extremely difficult because there's no leveling and all enemies respawn (and thus attack in greater numbers) each time you die. If you like being tormented by the difficulty of your games you'll like this!2 found this helpful
Overall the game has a good idea, but lacks on quite a view places, the lack of a mini map is one of my bug bares, no leveling system just does not feel right, the mechanics are a bit boring, you just wait till human adds make an action of three attacks then you hit them and back of till their dead, the same goes for the other adds, you hit them back of, them hit them again and so on, even if there is no mini map at least they could give a manual save, the graphics are ok but nothing special, the game overall feels souless and the mini map i can't get over. yes make it hardcore like dark souls etc, but let us know where we are, i hate doing this but this game i can only give 4/101 found this helpful
Have you ever wondered what an incomplete game feels like? This would be it. So, I managed to squeeze about 90 minutes of this game into a live stream with my veiwers as we all got a first look at Enoch and right off the bat, a few things popped out as a lack of polishing or QA on the game. 1. Had to dramatically reduce graphics to be able to not slideshow on stream 2. Everything was in English, but the grammar and sentence structures were questionable 3. Sound turned off in menus and when reading "scrolls" in game Now you may say that the first part does not matter, but if you set up your streaming software correctly, no setting in game should effect the way it is mirrored to the stream. What I see, is exactly what my viewers should see. That leads to questions in optimizing graphics and why it would cause issues. It was also noticed that even on medium settings (where slideshows stopped) lighting caused stuttering in game. Now on the bright side of things, the premise of the game is not bad. We couldn't get into the story enough to see if there was one, and the combat system is tough. When encountering enmies you can't just randomly flail about. Crashes to desktop several times within the first 3 minutes of playing. Pass.
Simple game, no frills, but you *can* enjoy some of it. 5/10 I kept the game because it is playable and enjoyable enough with cheat engine -notable the quantity of games I finish and relish thanks to it-. (Stamina, Health, Gold = 99,900, ... , all is 4 Bytes Exact, freeze what you want). If you use cheat engine, the game doesn't expect you to live if attacked by various foes at once: don't let them corner you against a wall, etc, instead have always a path to roll away. ( Otherwise, if they hit you in sequence while cornered, you can never recover sufficiently for a hit back, so you have to unfreeze health and die to restart the level as there is no other escape from the neverending attack ). Finished, some 6 levels.
