About Escape The Living Nebula

Escape the Living Nebula strikes a balance between deeply strategic turn-based and casual gameplay allowing for a satisfying and challenging strategy game that can be played for short periods of time.

Players must guide three ships through ever increasing dangers to escape a nebula coming to life while at the same time battling enemy craft.

Give your ships commands using a console designed for mobile touch-screens in a turn based environment then watch the actions play out in real time in a physics-based battle ground.

Story mode provides a more relaxed progression through the game while survival and rogue-lite modes provide more challenging experiences with increased variety between play-throughs allowing for excellent re-playability.
An unlockable sim mode allows for custom battle design to allow players to hone their skills against the wide variety of enemy craft.

Evade enemy fire, charge shields and fire torpedoes.

A cheap, very simple, but interesting mobile-port that has a very fun premise. The whole "real-time" pause, plan action, playout for 3 seconds, plan, etc, is very neat and reminds me of Frozen Synapse in a funny way. Though, of course totally different. Some of the controls are... fiddly and annoying. And that's fine. But they could be more fun if done differently. Aiming a shot for example, is just a test of patience. It take a while to actually do something you want. Which is boring, and frustrating especially when there is not time limit forcing you to take the "quick and innacurate" gut feel clicks. I'd prefer it if the weapons could be directly targeted but instead have some inacuracy. And the systems like Thrust and Rotate be directly selectable. Would be far more fun, as it removes the frustration. With some innacuracy for weapons and the fact the game doesn't tell you how strong anything is in terms of thrust and rotation, it will still remain just as challenging.

Fun pixel space-shooter game with a lot of heart for the money. Some very tough levels and an addictive mechanic help it to stand out. Love the soundtrack!

A challenging, immersive space shooter with epic music and sound design. I sat down to play a couple of levels but got sucked in until it was finished. Loved the scale and depth that this game managed to get across with just a few pixels and clever UI.

It is a small but quite interesting game. It is based on very simple controls but you need some practice before you can use them effectively. You command a small fleet of three ships with various abilities and quirks to defeat increasingly difficult enemies. Your dangers do not always come in the form of normal direct weapons fire and you have to adapt to manage to win certain levels. Very much recommended for the low price of around a cup of coffee or less.
