Scary creatures started haunting your nightmares. Your doctor tells you to look for Memory Fragments hidden within your mind to figure out : what's causing these visions exactly?To find these mysterious objects, you'll have to navigate dark hostile corridors... Be weary! As when your light runs out, the MonStalkers will start to chase you! Filled with traps, these grounds are dangerous. It has been said that many who roamed too deep inside of them never returned with their full sanity...Are you brave enough to face your fears?

I bought this game hoping it might be novel and charming, boy was I wrong, it is garbage. I truly hope this was, at most, a weekend of work and that it is not someone's passion project; if it is I fear they may not have a future in game design. 2/10 (generous).

MonStalkers plays like a mix between a light puzzle/racing game and a light horror experience, emphasis on light, literally and figuratively. You move around these isometric voxel mazes, trying to find memory fragments and hidden objects while your candle slowly burns out. Once the light’s gone, things get creepy fast: that's when the “MonStalkers” start chasing you, and you really feel the pressure to either find a new candle or get out quick. The gameplay is simple: grid-based movement, three lives, limited light. But it works. The tension isn’t from jumpscares, it’s from pacing. You’re constantly deciding whether to explore one more corner or play it safe. The level design encourages curiosity, with plenty of secret paths and tucked-away items if you take the time to look. The voxel art style gives it a kind of eerie toy-like vibe, which somehow makes the darker moments hit harder. There's also some nice use of sound, with moments of silence that actually help build atmosphere better than a constant soundtrack would. It’s not super long or complex, but it doesn’t try to be. An enjoyable little indie game! The atmosphere is eerie and captivating, with stylish pixel art and immersive music. Exploration, puzzles, and tension — it is worth a try !
