About Evo\Wave
Evo\Wave is a 3D platformer featuring the little AI named LAI-6 who learns new programs and skills to restore the world! Travel through levels inspired by the different graphical eras of the video game, repair the Evo\Core and gain new skills to fight the evil MagnaVex!

A 3D Collectathon evolving through different periods of video game history! The more you progress through the game while repairing the Evo\Core. The more you will experience wildly different graphics styles from the history of video games!

A retro OutRun graphic style inspired by the '80s with Synthwave music reminiscent of Miami 80! A bold yet limited color palette permeates the landscape, purple skies and teal vegetation are the norm in this virtual world. Awesome music will follow you wherever you go, making you feel like you’re cruising through the neon sunset.

Evo\Wave is a game designed to be accessible to all age groups, both young and old, and aims to bring some LGBTQ+ representation with LAI-6, our young non-binary artificial intelligence. In addition, a lot of attention has been directed towards visual accessibility by reducing elements like flashing lights and low contrast that would prevent some people from enjoying Evo\Wave!
APPROACHING BOSS BATTLE... Evolve stages into more complex graphics and fight with evil Magnavex. Maps are semi open thus allowing for some degree of freedom. Simple tasks to be done on each stage, like helping finding hidden pages, annihilating bad guys or searching for someone's friend. Character movement is a bit stiff, but overall as freebie I guess it's ok.
6 found this helpful
Solid little platformer.
The platforming is actually quite good, with lots of fun abilities to use. What I didn't care for was everything else. Levels feel too big, the visuals get progressively uglier, and the actual objectives can feel tedious. Writing is bad, but that didn't affect my opinion of it too much, as I don't play platformers much for their plots.
A really original, fun game with a cool concept and entertaining gameplay. It's overall very easy but still provides a tiny challenge. I had played this game once years ago and decided to pick it up again, but this time with a completionist approach, unlocking all achievements and collecting everything. Took about 6 hours of gameplay. I'd say Evo\Wave is actually a fantastic game to get into completionism. The lore isn't really interesting, but I like its fourth wall-breaking aspect. The game's evolution is neat: with each level, the graphics change and you can gain new abilities that ever so slightly complexify the gameplay but require essentially no learning curve. Overall this is a really nice indie title, definitely recommend.
HOLLLYYYY UNDERRATED!! crazyy fun 3d platformer with crazy visuals, good variety and TOP TIER MUSIC. all for the low price of absolutely nothing. This game deserves much more love
Goood game. 8.2/10. You can get good amounts of hours for the vaule of this game which is free. I 100%'d the game within 3 hours so pretty easier. I will say though the final boss fight is more platforming and barely any fighting which is abit annoying. Some improvements
