Eximius is a rare breed of game a RTS/FPS hybrid and there are very few titles in this genre. I own nearly all of them because I genuinely love this genre. When Eximius was first announced, I was excited. The concept, the art direction, and the feature promises all pointed toward something special. It’s exactly the kind of game I want to to play. However, after years of ownership and updates, the game still feels unfinished. Development has slowed significantly, and the overall experience still feels closer to an early-access alpha than a fully realized product. That’s disappointing, especially given how much potential the core idea has. The RTS side shows ambition, but the execution lacks polish. The FPS side needs the most improvement. Gunplay and movement don’t feel refined, and the systems don’t seem optimized around the player experience. The “feel” of the game is not that tight, responsive feedback loop that modern shooters rely on just isn’t there. It ends up feeling clunky and unpolished rather than immersive. Visually, the art direction is solid and sometimes genuinely cool. There’s creativity here. The sound design, however, could use more work, it lacks impact and dep…

I really like the concept of this game, combining RTS and standard FPS gameplay looked really interesting to me but when I actually got to play the game I was pretty disappointed. The FPS gameplay was okay. But the rest of the game's feel was just a little bit off. The animations were a little stiff and I couldn't find a tutorial on how the RTS mode worked and I only managed to figure out a little bit of stuff just by going into a training match with NPCs. I don't think this game is the worst in the world but it lacks a bit of polish

I desperately want to like this game. But i just cant, an FPS/RTS hybrid is my dream game and this one just isnt it. Movement and controls are just so bad, the game runs like ♥♥♥♥ and looks like a UE asset flip, and gameplay isnt intuitive at all. I really really wish I could enjoy this game. Also it has ♥♥♥♥ loads of MTX now and daily's??? Pretty lame.

I can't recommend this game from my POV, It genuinely looks fun and interesting to play as the concept is really cool. however my system crashes Constantly with it, I and others I've talked to seem to think its a AMD GPU thing. I have tried Updating Drivers, Backdating Drivers, Changing Settings from max to lowest AND i also reached out to support with No reply i waited for a week and a half and i get it they are more then likely busy but even just a "Hey i can get to you at this time" would go much nicer over then just ignored. Within the 20 or so minutes I've played it has crashed 10 times. All my friends have Nvidia GPUS and they have no issues with this game. I however as the sole AMD user of our group have issues and if you are a AMD GPU Owner then don't buy this right now. If they get back to me i might update my review. but for now I'm going to refund the game and buy something that will work and run on my computer. TL;DR: you got a AMD GPU Do not buy this as of April 6th, 2026
