first level is so dark its impossible. i understand ambience, but come on thats ridiculous. the lightning i assume youre supposed to use as light isnt even consistent or bright enough. interesting concept, so im very dissapointed its not playable.4 found this helpful
It's definitely a game, I can't even see what i'm doing 90% of the time on the first level and where is the bed?2 found this helpful
The game is incredibly dark and the lightning is so frequent and blinding, I'm genuinely surprised there isn't a warning or disclaimer for those who are sensitive to flashing lights. While there is a flashlight feature (press F), there is no indication of it and I personally only discovered this feature after reading another review. The only objective is to find/sleep in your bed to beat the level. After an hour, I have only been able to reach about half of level one. You cannot access the other levels until the previous one has been beat. If the other two levels are anything like the first one, you are better off playing a rage game. The first level is way too long and difficult without even a single checkpoint, or at least as far as I've gotten. If you fall off any of the obstacles, you have to make your way all the way back to the house to start over again. I'm stubborn, so I'll most likely keep trying to beat all of the levels despite my criticisms.
This game could have potential to be great. It had zero direction except find your bed. Didn't tell you there was a flashlight option... and one part of the map looked half finished. This need so much more polishing. I believe it can be done.
I kept getting blinded by the lightning and tripping on random things. I wouldn't play this if it was my only game. I would touch grass over that.
Game looks good but shows obvious signs of a lack of polish and gameplay is very simple. While there might not be much more than moving and jumping (and also a Flashlight with F which the game didn't tell me existed but is very important) it's still effective and satisfying to execute. The game sounds decent but music is basically non-existent. Once you figure out that a Flashlight exists the game actually isn't that difficult but also doesn't really offer any unique challenges to the player. Performance Review: Game ran decently well on Proton 10-28 without any major drawbacks that i have noticed. Relatively stable 90 to 120fps in my case on high settings Ultrawide 21:9: i have encountered no problems and it worked out of the box
