This game is sooo fun. I love it
For those of you who played Recettear back in the beginning, this is the game for you. Capitalism, ho! But seriously, this is the perfect economic sim. One of the things I disliked in Recettear was the forced combat; here you are a shopkeeper, and truly pay others to do the heavy lifting for you. The dialogue is fun and tongue in cheek, mechanics are great, and you get quite a bit of choices matter for various endings If you like big bucks and you cannot lie, play this game. Numbers go up most satisfyingly.
I went in expecting a cute Recettear clone and instead got sucked into a genuinely clever shop RPG where you earn XP by making money and slowly build a business empire to take down a corrupt megacorp from the inside. The writing is consistently funny without being obnoxious, the sheer number of secrets and interlocking systems is honestly kind of staggering for an RPG Maker game, and the little moral choices about your profit margins actually stuck with me. My only real gripes are the lack of a quest log or map, so I ended up scribbling notes on paper, and the late game in the capital gets pretty grindy. Still, I lost a whole week to this thing and was smiling the entire time, so it's an easy recommendation if you don't mind a game that respects your intelligence more than your convenience.
This scratches my itch for Roblox Tycoon games :D
Felt just like my workplace. 10/10 I can now quit my job and come on here full time.
