Fireside Feelings

I've really been enjoying this experience, especially lately because I've been home sick. I appreciate how seriously the other players take it, and I've heard some great perspectives from others to the point where it genuinely hurts that I can't continue any conversations or connect with others. I know the devs are ADAMANT that we don't seek out the people we exchanged words with in the game, and I get why, but I also find it kind of painful. They structure these conversations to make it feel like we're genuinely talking to and connecting with another person, only to never be able to talk to each other or see each other again. It's a bit isolating. I'm going to keep playing the game, but I struggle to recommend it because it claims you're going to make connections with real people, but I often leave this game feeling like I've missed connections with people, and it kinda breaks my heart. I hope the devs see this and see where I'm coming from. Also I've seen several reviews saying their responses seem to be entirely AI created, and I haven't had that experience at all. I've really enjoyed my time so far with Fireside Feelings. Basically, you pick a little animal avatar, sit down at a campfire, and a friendly talking flame named Spark asks you questions. Some are silly, most are deep. Across the fire, you see another player's answer to the same question, so you're always sharing a quiet moment with a real person somewhere out there. The art is very charming, and the community around the game is really kind. My one wish is a bit selfish. Sometimes a stranger's answer is so nice that I want to hear more from them, or know a little about who they are. But I know the game is built to keep that hidden. The fact that everyone is anonymous is the reason people feel safe being so open, so it's not really a complaint or a real wish. It just shows how real these small connections feel. When a game makes you wish a quiet moment with a stranger didn't have to end, it's doing something special. The only actual negative for me is that there is no rabbit avatar. For shame! (...I'm mostly kidding.)

I really like this game. I like the aesthetic of cozy locations and anthropomorphic animals just having a chat. I know that the conversations aren't in real time, but the structure of it often makes me forget. I know that some reviews lamented that you'll likely never talk to the people you get matched with again, but I don't mind that. Life's like that at times. You might strike up a conversation with someone and just never cross paths again. Not all connections are meant to last forever, and even the ones that only last for one conversation can still have a deep meaning in our lives. I've had some surprisingly deep "conversations" with people and it's always interesting to see how others feel about these topics. Not all stories are happy, but that's okay. They're real, and I appreciate everyone that takes the time to answer truthfully. Just really glad that this game exists.

I had such a surprisingly nice time with this. It encourages surprisingly heavy topics, the trigger thing is a thoughtful touch. I expected the other person to just say nonsense, given this is the internet and all, but I had such a nice convo with this Bee gal about friendship and I found myself opening up so much more than I expected to. A lovely game.

Surprisingly nice

Just finished this game today. It's such a beautiful experience, and it has helped me open up to certain topics I have a hard time talking about. This is that type of game I wish I could play for the first time again. It has left such a great impact on me. Thank you so much for making this <3
