This game had the potential but the progression is very slow and gameplay is not always fun. For example, you cannot really interact with the map, which limits the feeling of exploration. There are some interesting characters and events but there are also many dialogue repetitions. You have a very limited storage and backpack space and in order to increase them, you need materials for upgrade, which requires storage and backpack space to be accumulated. Overall, I think this game need some gameplay-wise adjustments.

Fireside is a gentle, emotionally grounded adventure that prioritizes human connection over danger, combat, or dramatic conflict. Developed by Emergo Entertainment and published by Nordcurrent Labs, it begins with a shipwreck that leaves the protagonist stranded in an unfamiliar land, but instead of treating this as a tale of desperation, the game reframes it as an opportunity for discovery, community, and healing. The world is populated by other wanderers—some cheerful, some uncertain, some carrying quiet burdens—and the player’s role is not to conquer or defeat anything, but to listen, trade, help, and build relationships. Fireside belongs to a growing group of games built around kindness rather than struggle, and it commits fully to that philosophy. The gameplay loop revolves around travel, campfire conversations, resource gathering, and trading. As you explore the wilderness, you encounter fellow travelers looking for specific items, and through thoughtful exchanges you build goodwill, unlock new dialogue, and slowly learn their histories. Trading isn’t treated as a simple transactional system—it functions like a trust exercise, a way of understanding values and finding mutual…

This game is full of cozy, chilled, cute vibes! The trading is actually a little more difficult than you first think, but it makes you want to keep playing to get better items. Yes, it could tend to get repetitive to a degree, but if you're someone who doesn't mind that (such as myself), then this game is perfect for just relaxing and taking your time.

This game was so great. So nice to have a break from all the farming sims in cozy gaming. Amazingly relaxing, fun gameplay & progression loop and a nice narrative (won't be the best you've ever seen, but gets the job done), really good artstyle, relaxing music. Yeah, it's great.
