Fortix 2 is a solid and charming revival of the classic Qix-style gameplay — you run around the edges of the map carving out territory while dodging dragons, cannonballs, and fire arrows, and it's surprisingly addictive once it clicks. Ignore the 'reverse tower defense' label on the store page; this is pure old-school arcade fun wrapped in cute medieval graphics. The difficulty curve feels well-tuned, and the addition of keys, catapults, and varied terrain keeps things fresh across the 30+ levels. At under two dollars it's an easy recommendation for anyone who enjoys casual, pick-up-and-play arcade games — just don't expect deep strategy.

Very nice game. Good variety of levels and enemies with increasing difficulty/complexity. The boss level is challenging but fun. Fortix 2 includes all Fortix 1 levels as an unlockable bonus, which is very nice. It would be better if unlocked areas were traversible rather than just the available line, but I see how this would break some gameplay scenarios so it's fine I guess. The developers did well on this one.

I genuinely love this game. Very simple mechanic but always fun. Great for passing the mouse / hotseat too.

Fun game that can be beat in a sitting. Will come back to it in a few years, and would like to see a Fortix 3
