This is a fantastic and very rare port from G-MODE of a Japanese Flip Phone game originally released by Namco back in 2007. It is a very well made and almost accurate port of the classic arcade game, while the sound effects most noticeably are little bit different it captures the spirit of the original game perfectly. There is only a little bit of Japanese text in the options but it will not hinder you in anyway from enjoying this game. I have played many of these Flip Phone games and I am amazed as to how well this one plays the controls are very tight and responsive. While you can purchase the better Arcade Game Series Pac-Man here on Steam for a little bit cheaper It is very nice to see someone releasing rarities like this for retro collectors and fans like myself. Thank you G-mode for preserving the past for future generations.

Might've found yourself in a strange place, but it's good ol Pac-Man! As you figured in the description, G-MODE Archives are full direct emulations of the original G-MODE versions of games. That being quite literal, it's only in Japanese, so it makes sense. A quick whip up with a translator camera wouldn't hurt though, since Pac-Man is pure game and doesn't have serious text in it (only for the menus). For the port itself, it's surprisingly pretty good for it's time! I think this might be more faithful than the American cellphone version of Pac-Man, sans cellphone audio and some minor differences with the sprites like the color palettes and some misaligned tiles. I do feel like this port is more of a collector's thing, since you can already get the Arcade Game Series version of Pac-Man for cheaper, maybe when it's on sale its a good grab. But if you dont really care about that, it's Pac-Man! it's a guaranteed good time

This is, in fact, Pac-Man my dudes, and not a particularly necessary edition of it given that Arcade Game Series: Pac-Man is available for $3.99. In fact, between Arcade Game Series, Pac-Man Museum and Pac-Man Museum Plus, and the fact that the original is I believe in Pac-Man World 1 and 2, plus the NES port in Namco Museum Archives Volume 1, this is I believe the seventh copy of the original Pac-Man on Steam and the much-maligned Atari 2600 port is available on the Atari 50 collection as DLC along with the Atari 5200 and 8-Bit versions, so this is really the tenth if you count all versions! That said this edition is still kind of cool and enticing for a few reasons that make it worth supporting. Re-releases of classic games typically focus on the most well known or "correct" version, in Pac-Man's case that being the arcade version, but different ports to different platforms can add their own flair and feel. This happens to be a port of a Japanese flip phone version of the game from 2007, and in that regard it's actually kind of impressive! The main inaccuracy to the original you'll notice is the sounds are at a much different pitch than the original,…

You can never go wrong with Pac-Man, and there's never enough of him! This is as great if not better than arcade game series (mostly because it actually runs on my PC) and is a great footnote in mobile game, and Pac-History. Though I do have an issue which is Blinky's sprite looking odd in-game. Other than that, it's still pretty neat! Even without knowing any Japanese you can still play the game because it's Pac-Man!
