i loved the orignal game. man they butchered it. up to spooky the game is PLAYABLE, not good by any means, but its playable. after then its literally souless playtime padding. absolutely ruined a game that i enjoyed so much as a child1 found this helpful
A good remake for a nostalgic 3d platformer. As good as I remember from my childhood, some good ideas, level design and way better than the first one. But still the shortness of this game, some mechanics are showing their age and shows that now or back then it was not a real competitor for other big 3d platformer games. At least the addition of the sonic DLC is a good novelty and should be done more for remakes! At under 20 bucks you should do it, for the content it has unfortunately I cannot recommend it at a higher price.
Faithful remake of the OG, which I adored. It also added new stuff that makes it even better.
i love pacman
Oh my god is Pac-Man annoying! He repeats the same few lines over and over and over and OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER! Pac-Man never needed a voice to be a good character. Why give him one now? Other than that, this is a solid remake of a classic that was in most ways better than its predecessor. Likewise, this is definitely a step up from Pac-Man World RePac. It's not overly challenging, but regardless, I bought it for the nostalgia.
The original version on GCN was very important to me in my early gaming years. It taught me the joys of 3-D platforming even before I played SM64, and I maintain that this was an underrated title. The remaster presented here was great. The update graphics were shiny & polished. The updated bosses felt like the true vision of the devs if given more time. The embellishments to the levels were overall very welcomed, although the transition from the ice level to the volcano level was cooler in the original. They added some fun QoL features like time trials and a silly gacha minigame. They even added a hard mode after the final boss. The biggest negative for this game is definitely the voice acting. They got the World 3 VA back, which is great, but they gave him like 2 voice lines for standard gameplay. The voices get extremely grating even before 1 level is finished. The cutscenes aren't too much better. This can be circumvented by turning off voices in settings, so this is overall a moot point for me. Overall, I recommend this game if you grew up in the 3D platformer era and want to add a solid entry to your collection. Maybe get this on sale if you simply have a passing interest i…
