Just another idle clicker. Dice is one of those extremely barebones idle games that feels more like a Steam inventory generator than an actual game. The concept is simple enough: collect dice, let the game run in the background, come back later, and watch your collection grow. I can appreciate a game being simple and low-maintenance, and there is some satisfaction in collecting new dice without having to constantly sit there clicking. The dice themselves also have some cute artwork, which makes collecting them a little more appealing. The problem is that there really isn't much beyond that. Once you've figured out the basic loop, you've pretty much seen everything the game has to offer. There's very little mechanical depth, and most of the long-term appeal comes down to wanting to collect more dice rather than having an engaging game to play. And that's where Dice starts feeling less like a game and more like another piece of Steam marketplace clutter. Thumbs Up: It's cute for a mini game, easy & free to play, & lastly simple to click away while enjoying it's different charming reaction. (Which is why I stated this comment reaction & recommendation first) Thumbs Down: Because it's WAY TO SIMPLE, I can understand why the viewers see's this game boring. Manly because there's no achievements to unlock, no inventory awards after reaching a certain level, hardly not even worth the time & challenge that even the children would get bored quicker than the adults would do.

The art is well made, but that doesn't excuse the lack of gameplay elements.

The game has nothing for it, you click the dice, it changes it's face after 10 clicks - that's it, there is nothing else to it, like really, nothing else, except for getting dice items in your inventory. This game feels cheap as suggested by the unreal engine icon on the window, the fact that is a window that can't be expanded, the default arial text, the lack of any sound. Did the developer play any video game ever? I don't think so, because not being bothered to ADD SOUND really screams it. Terrible cheap clicker that is used for money gain through dice and nothing else. If this is a 'developer's first game' it shouldn't be on steam with money tied to it in any way, also probably is slapped on top of some 'Banana' like base, do not download - a waste of space. Don't check reviews there are some scam links and such in there.

Dice is about as simple as an idle game can get. I click a die to make its number go up, collect more dice and let the game run in the background while it slowly builds up my collection. That is basically the entire idea, but I actually think the simplicity is part of the appeal. I do not have to learn a complicated system or worry about a big progression tree. I can just open it, click for a while and let it do its thing. The game was released as a free to play title, and it is very clearly designed around being something I can leave running rather than something I need to actively play for hours. The collecting side is what gives me the main reason to keep it open. As I play and leave the game idle, I can collect different dice that are added to my Steam inventory. I like the idea because it gives the otherwise basic clicking mechanic a proper goal. I am not just watching a number increase forever. There is an actual collection to build, and seeing another die appear gives me something small to look forward to. It reminds me more of a tiny desktop idle game than a traditional game with a normal gameplay loop. The biggest strength for me is that it does not waste time pretending…
