✦ AI summary
Players are divided on this RPG Maker title. Supporters appreciate the folklore-inspired story, character development, and multiple endings, though some note the Japanese dialogue could use better editing and certain chase sequences feel excessive. Critics dismiss it as generic low-effort RPG Maker asset-flipping with clichéd anime storytelling and poorly constructed gameplay that doesn't effectively use the engine's capabilities.

RPG Maker strikes again! 사괴야행 is one of hundreds of low effort retro-pixel RPG Maker asset/construction kit flips spamming the Steam catalog, made with the RPG Maker video game construction kit... in their own words, "Our easy to use tools are simple enough for a child." Like all RPG Maker "games", this is essentially a bunch of low quality/canned assets from RPG Maker coupled with a cringeworthy high school anime club fan fiction. This is one of those cases where the developer can't work out how to use RPG Maker to make a JRPG (the only thing it can do, and it's terrible at it). Instead, we get this largely nonsensical Korean top down adventure game where you wander around, mostly plodding through badly written Visual Novel sections, and eventually collecting all the right doodads and playing enough shallow pointless minigames for the horrible experience to finally end. And what's with all the positive reviews on this game from Korea? Don't they have 3D accelerators? As with all RPG Maker games, the poor quality engine displays badly in fullscreen and doesn't have full HD support or any graphics tweaking options, making this unacceptable for any dedicated modern PC gamer. …4 found this helpful

Now that I've completed the main story of the game, I feel confident enough to review this game! I enjoyed this game, and the Japanese folklore/ story with Shun and his family's misfortune was equally interesting/ depressing. I feel bad for Shun and all the people dissing his dad. Akari is a champ. I love her! The real ending was very sweet, and I liked the variety of the three endings. One complaint... the amount of pursers in chapter 3 felt a bit much. The chase scenes were fun though! Regardless, I had fun and enjoyed the game >y< I played this game in Japanese, and I will say the Japanese was hard to understand. I understood most of it, enough to make my videos on Youtube, but I think editing by a native Japanese speaker would be best for this game.
Before I played The Night of Death, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
