凡人修仙传奇 is a very traditional idle cultivation RPG, but I still found myself enjoying the constant progression. I play as an ordinary young man who obtains the Haotian Mirror and begins a journey toward becoming an immortal. The setup is familiar for this style of Chinese RPG, but there is a satisfying feeling in watching a weak character gradually turn into something much more powerful. The main gameplay revolves around progressing through stages, fighting bosses and collecting better equipment. Much of the combat is designed around idle progression, so I can keep advancing without having to constantly control every battle. I liked that the game gives me plenty of reasons to keep improving my character, especially because new systems and activities become available as I move further through the progression. The Haotian Mirror is the main progression system and ties the different parts of the game together. Upgrading it helps me obtain stronger equipment from battles, so there is a clear reason to keep investing in it.
