镜之境 (2026)

镜之境 is a really charming little cooperative puzzle game, and I liked how it turns communication itself into the main mechanic. I play as either Lin Ming or Nabi after they accidentally fall into a world created by a mysterious ancient mirror. The interesting part is that the two characters cannot see each other, so I have to rely on another person to describe what they can see and use those clues to figure out how to escape. The two player structure is easily the best part for me. Both players explore different versions of the same strange world, and each side has information that the other player needs. I enjoyed the feeling of having to explain exactly what I was seeing rather than simply pointing something out on the screen. A small detail that seems meaningless from one perspective can suddenly become extremely important when combined with something the other player has discovered. The puzzles are built around that exchange of information, which makes them feel much more social than usual.
