beat it coolio. Do you want to play a megamanalike where you kill landlords? I especially enjoyed killing the guy who buys investment property. Pro tip: don't save up your charge meter use it often.

I was never good at megaman style games, but regardless this one is fun

This is a great love-letter to (Casual) Mega Man. I know some may see "Casual Mega Man" as a oxymoron, but it works. It *can* be super difficult, but that's up to how you set the options. (Although the platforming I think is the same across all options.) You can make the platforming harder for yourself by never using the double jump or dash (except where you absolutely have to). The presentation is sort of like a Game Boy game (I think that's the GB in the title). It's monochrome with 4 or maybe a few more shades. It might make it difficult for some to tell what is the background and what is the foreground, but I got used to it very quickly. It is a short game. I've only played for 19 minutes and I've completed the tutorial / intro stage and 2 of the 4 landlords (robot masters). There are achievements for completing it in less than an hour / 35 minutes / 25 minutes - so it is very short if you git gud. This lends itself to more replay-ability, and the options which make it very easy or very difficult mean you can beat it if you keep trying no matter your beginning skill level, and then you can gradually make it more and more challenging. You like explosions? Then GB Rober is THE game for you! Seriously, this game is half-platformer and half-explosion. It is a very fun fast-paced action-platformer in which you travel through different stages to defeat (litteral) bosses and gain new weapons. It plays very well, and it is much more forgiving that the games that inspired it. The difficulty is still there, but you'll constantly improve and quickly get your skills high enough to go on! It sounds good as well, with music fitting the GameBoy aesthetics of the game. Overall, a very nice experience of a game that is sure to be a nice one to replay every now and then, just like your good old-fashionned GB games!

Phenomenal game. [h2]=Gameplay=[/h2] If you've played Megaman, you'll be right at home; I could never get into it, but something about GB Rober makes it much more of an engaging and fun experience for me. Movement wise, you've got quite a bit at your disposal, and I think speedrunners would have a blast with this. You got your double jump, you got a pretty forgiving dash, and you got an incredibly fast roll that I haven't quite figured out how it works, but it's seriously rewarding when you pull it off. Your double jump throws a bullet downwards which is cleverly used in some platforming sections, and can be used to get some clutch wins. Other additions in levels such as water, mushrooms, or ladders keep each level fresh. If that's not enough, you'll get a wide array of weapons unlocked through defeating bosses- all of which have their situational uses. Some more useful than others. The game as a whole experience is smooth and responsive, which is super important, and does not go unnoticed. Never did I once think that a death [i]wasn't[/i] my own fault.
