Played on Linux using Proton Exp, Yet another Great FREE Game, Graphics are a neat style, Sound is okay, Gameplay is FPS mixed old school RPG type Game, Even has the Old Ascii style Map up in the left hand corner, You pick up to 2 weapons at the start of the Game and are used with either Left or Right Mouse Buttons, Kill Ghost, Find Money (Open Pots), and somewhere on the map you will find a lady to buy Weapons and Scrolls, You can also Upgrade from the Pause Menu, All in all this a good and fun Game and i totally Recommend it.1 found this helpful
"Ghost Castle" is, wow, if Daikatana was made today.... this is it. So you're a ninja, very cool, very hip, very popular in the late 80's early 90's, and you go through a bunch of samey repetitive procgen levels. And I believe that's the problem. The graphics look okay (probably flipped, which would be a problem), but we all love FPS games when done properly, and this wasn't. Where's the content? There is none. The game graphics look better than you might expect, but that's just because it looks like some or all of them are "borrowed" from asset stores or wherever. Gamers can tell... and it comes across as insincere. There's also the old adage that those who lack the budget and talent to make their own game assets usually lack the budget and talent to do the rest of the job of game development properly, too. But, like I said, the key problem is the developer chose not to do the job of a real game developer and create meaningful bespoke levels, narrative based gameplay progression and so on. Instead, they decided that "Procgen IS content!" and lazily tried to use procgen algorithms to create infinite, samey, repetitive, soulless levels, because that's a lot less work.`n`nA…1 found this helpful
Before I played Ghost Castle, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
1 found this helpful
A great little roguelite in the world of Japanese yokai, would be worth paying money for!
Was a good moment to play it until the end 💪
