[b] Goaldeck [/b] is a very fun and addictive deckbuilding and strategy game based around the beautiful game. It's well presented and there are some interesting boosts like manager cards, upgrades, and facility cards which can give you an edge against your opponent during the match. Even though I am thoroughly enjoying the game there are some noticeable problems with progression due to RNG and unbalances that will stop you getting past a certain point. Hopefully, these will get fixed because the bare bones of the game are excellent and it's one of those games that is hard to put down once you start. Okay, so I'm addicted to this game. It really is a lot of fun to play and gives me the same sort of buzz I used to get out of playing old football manager games. It is easy to pick up and play and the rules are mostly easy to understand. Really enjoyable game simple game. Scratches that itch for a quick feedback mgmt loop. I played the demo and was hooked waiting for full release. As others have mentioned some QoL features like having the 2x speed be set instead of having to hold. Scaling from gold to platinum cup feels a bit too steep. Feels like if you don't have the additional manager cards your SoL same if you get an unlucky draw on the boss match (clean sheet or carnival no fun). Really fun and worth it for the value. After playing the demo, I decided that it was worth giving a shot for $10. It is definitely not perfect and has several areas for improvement, but it is also an incredibly unique game with tons of potential if the devs address some issues and improve the gameplay. Amazing game. I have played the demo a lot and was looking forward to the full release. However, the difficulty escalates too steeply. Halfway through the cups, the CPU only gets legendary and gold cards. I though that it would became that hard later on, maybe the 2 final cups. Anyway, great game and, now, I am looking forward the fine tuning. Been playing on Steam Deck.

It’s a really great game; you don’t need to know the footballers to play it, as the developers have explained the game's mechanics in a simple way. I’m glad I stumbled upon this game while browsing the store it would have been a shame to miss out on it...
