About God Of Arrows VR

God of Arrows is a Virtual Reality tower defense game where you take the role of an archer defending a castle against the forces of evil with some help from the gods. Play solo to fight through endless waves of monsters and compete in an online leaderboard to showcase your skills as the best defender.

The game is currently only available for the HTC: VIVE. And will be released as an early access game with tons of features still in development. In God of Arrows VR, you take on the role of an archer defending from atop a tower as you fight through incoming waves of skeletons and demons trying to breach your gate. You start with using only the basic arrows available to you and eventually get assisted by the gods with elemental empowered arrows (Fire / Ice / Thunder / Arcane). Each of those arrows have particular abilities that will help you take down even the strongest of foes.

-A fully integrated Steam leaderboard to compete with your friends over who is the best defender!
-Environmental destructibles to occupy yourself between the waves.

Abandonware, don't bother. The last update was December 2016, about a month after it entered Early Access. "We really want this to be an open communication with the fan base. We want to take your opinion into account for the continued development of our game. So don't be shy and share with us your comments!" - Reactor Entertainment (November 2016) Opinion: You should have continued to develop your game instead of disappearing without a word.
Experienced on the Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers
You can view my review & gameplay here: https://youtu.be/EZhVxkuznjk This game is a stand still bow & arrow wave shooter where you have to protect the castle door (and you can teleport from one of two towers). I am giving a buy on sale recommendation or neutral recommendation at the normal price. Very close call on this game. However, I think there is just enough there if you're willing to look past some major issues. The biggest issue with this game is that the bow & arrow mechanic is not as good as some other bow & arrow games in VR such as In Death, Sacralith, or Holopoint (this game is from 2016 though). The arrow flight just takes a little too long to get from point A to point B and it just doesn't feel realistic or satisfying sniping with this thing. Another big issue is that there is only 1 environment and the waves start out very slowly. It's not until wave 10 that things start heating up and you always have to start from the wave 1 upon defeat. Despite the above, there are several good things about this game. The best thing about this game is the enemy variety. There are lots of enemies and they all have d…

This is a very addictive bow and arrow game. The bloody gore and violence of other games is replaced by a multitude of humoristic characters, which makes it suitable for more people. Instead of the enemies attacking you, they attack the castle door and this works better in many ways. A drawback is that you always play against the same background; it would be refreshing to change the scenery sometimes (and the music). The use of the bow feels very realistic and you really get the feeling of improving your skills. The first levels are easy but as you get beyond level 25, it gets quite challenging. You just want to start over and over again to make it on the hall of fame.

Shoot the cartoony skeletons and other monster misfits before they break down your castle door. Runs smooth, graphics are fine, audio is OK though the music is on a short loop and I don't see a way to turn it off. Decent bow and arrow mechanics, and the super-arrows you get every so often are a nice addition. You can shoot from two locations, which is also nice. Overall, the gameplay is slower and more rigid than some other VR bow & arrow games. The enemies spawn in the same handful of spots and follow the same handful of paths toward your gate. Not bad. Not great. Fairly inexpensive, and worth the price for an easy title to play a few minutes during spooky season. Thumbs: UP!

I could not find settings to modify any of the sounds...not a fan. Gameplay was single player which is fine, but did not seem to have any flavor to make the game more interesting compared to other archery tower defense game without having some control of settings
