Story
It is the 23rd century.
EDEN, the massive virtual reality network witch helped humankind to flourish, suddenly severed all contact with the outside world...Leaving the minds of its 100 million users trapped inside.
A covert special task force known as "Saviours" has been called in to address the situation. Using special attack programs modeled after fighter jets, they plan to delve into the deepest cores of EDEN and find who or what has set it haywire.
There's no telling what they may discover within the troubled space of this human created universe...
Characters
Uzuki Ginyose Male pilot of the \ attack program. He may look like a girl, but he's dressed that way for specific combat reasons. Plus he doesn't really mind how it feels either...
Satsuki Furuyama Pilots the \ attack program. Male turned into a female as the result of an ill-fated human experiment. Uzuki's best friend who always has his back.
Hayate Katori Pilot of the \ program. A world renowned genius programmer in real life with a strong connection to EDEN.
Kiriko Kirisame Pilot of the \ program and master of short range firepower. Yandere girl who is secretly in love with Uzuki.
Striae The Mysterious entity that has taken control of the virtual world \. Who or what she is remains to be discovered...Gameplay
A top-down scrolling 2D shooting game where you charge your gauge by getting dangerously close to enemy fire, then unleash it as a powerful enemy obliterating "Graze Counter"!
Each ship has a "Counter Gauge" that charges by being in close proximity to enemy bullets. You then use this charge to unleash powerful attacks.Destroying enemies with these special attacks gives you stars which are collected and used to build the "Break Gauge".Once the break gauge reaches MAX, you can activate "Break Mode" for a temporary yet intense firepower boost!

Both a friendly beginner and a brutal hardcore shmup with amazing ost and 16 ships to play around. the graze mechanic is perfect and it is a shame most other shmups doesn't have it.1 found this helpful

Great STG with very little to complain about! Music is excellent, the central graze mechanic and its use in balancing the two special meters is great, the art is fun, it's got a ton of unlockable characters that all play pretty differently, 30 challenge missions, an unlockable bonus game... despite being fairly mechanics-heavy, i think it's very approachable -- as an STG enthusiast but definitely not master, i got four 1cc's in four hours, including once on the pacifist "you can't shoot your normal weapon, only use the graze laser" mode. i think my only real complaint would be that a single run is slightly on the long side, so the number of clears / 1cc's needed to unlock everything might be a bit of a turnoff for some people. Regardless, this is definitely worth the asking price, doubly so on sale. easy recommend! also, the character bios are really funny. there's no reason for the two main characters to both have been forcefemmed in different ways but you know i'm here for it. and the AI maid has been arrested for stalking women 250 times ?? i love her.
Great remake of Graze Counter. Great variety of enemies to fight, well designed stages, and fun boss fights! There's a lot of cool playable characters. Fantastic game, good job Bikkuri Software! 8/10
I liked the game when I didn't realize there was an option to switch from Japanese to English, rendering the plot and character descriptions readable
