Greed is bad, Greed is NoT good... BUt the game is a decent time killer!

"Greed" is a student project from the Objectif 3D academy in France and this year I have to say the students get a pass. This is a top down/iso 3D action game with lightweight RPG elements and a few novel game mechanics, making it a bit more of a "me too" concept and something that gamers could enjoy playing for an hour or so. That's sort of all you get, being a student project. But, when reviewing games, what always matters is the value it represents for gamers, and while this has a couple of shortfalls, they can be overlooked due to the agreeable price point, and a couple of hours worth of enjoyable gaming for the price of zero dollars should be compelling enough. The graphics in this game are really quite good, which at least makes the game look more appealing. And while it's vital for any game to have impressive visuals (gaming is a visual medium, after all), there's more to a game than just the graphics. Here, we get a reasonable balance of both. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear …

Greed is a compact action roguelite developed and published by Objectif 3D. Released in 2022 as a free-to-play title, it follows a young warrior named Greed as she enters a dangerous and mysterious forest in search of her kidnapped sister. The story provides a straightforward reason for the adventure without dominating the experience. Instead, the game places most of its attention on combat, repeated attempts, upgrades, and learning how to survive increasingly dangerous encounters. It is a modest production in scope, but its focused design makes its central ideas easy to understand. Combat is built around three weapons that encourage noticeably different approaches: a bow, daggers, and a chakram. The bow favors fighting from a safer distance, while the daggers are more appropriate for aggressive close-range attacks. The chakram gives the arsenal a less conventional alternative and adds some personality to the weapon selection. Having only three primary choices means Greed does not provide the enormous equipment variety associated with larger roguelites, but it also allows players to become familiar with each weapon instead of constantly replacing equipment. its alright. Has some bad parts and its clunky. The programming isnt as well made as the graphical stuff

This game has an amazing concept - the enemies are interesting, the artwork is definitely a strength, the map layouts are very immersible - including all the details added in... just because! I'd love to see this game be expanded beyond a 1-2 hour play! a lot of potential here
