Groove Coaster

I love Groove Coaster, but this Version is really the worst way to experience it right now. As i upgraded my PC the Game stopped working entirely. This Game is long since abandoned so i dont see any chance of this being fixed. When i was still able to play it, the Performance was piss poor, the DLC pricing is downright evil and setting your Offset was a chore as you had to pick an offset in settings and then load a Song to test it. If you have a Nintendo Switch get WaiWaiParty or Future Performance as these Versions are ten times better. As for this one, it may not be worth your Time and hard earned Money.

The ui is tarable with no sound pairing opions so my game permonatly has no sound with no way to fix it.

Honestly, imma give this game a 3/10, you can like or dislike the review at any time. I'm a groove coaster Wai Wai player who played the game for 4 years, and then played the arcade version, and i decided to play the steam version since it was my first time on steam and to no one's surprise, it's only free original songs from the game and YOU LITERALLY HAVE TO PAY FOR EVERYTHING LIKE TOUHOU, MUSIC GAME SONGS, AND MORE SONGS THAT YOU LIKE, it's not my fault that i'm broke. The worst part of the game that you had to do these annoying diagonal slides with a keyboard and no its not like the switch version, you had to do it like an AC controller so im forced to use an xbox controller to avoid failing hard mode. the only highlights of this game is that the free songs have really good tunes and the music credits are nostalgic.

The only good thing about the game is the songs. The gameplay is like, meh. I loved Groove Coaster ever since I bought Wai Wai Party on the switch. I didn't look into the steam port when I discovered it a couple years ago. I bought the game and I thought it was really fun! After I went back on, the game felt like everything was missing. The gameplay was kinda messed up (those two slide notes that will be in other directions is hard to figure out what to press), I think they should've added unlockable content for navigators, avatars, titles, songs, and more like Wai Wai Party did, except you have to grind GC for HOURS to get what avatar or song you want. This game has been abandoned for years, the mobile port got discontinued, finding the arcade machines to play at depends on where you live, and this...This is left in the trash for ages and TAITO doesn't bother trying to keep updating the game anymore. I do love the songs in the game though, I wish they would add all the songs from the mobile port. All things considered GC is an amazing game, but if you want the best game get yourself wai wai party via any means necessary as the version of the game here on Steam is long abandoned even though it still gets hit with sales. Otherwise if you don't care to get Wai Wai Party snag this version and its dlc of choice during a sale
