HAM: The Game

I agree with the others about the game. It was fun until the 4th level. I was enjoying the tasks and teamwork. Then it became way too big and we needed 4 people. (we were only 3). It was IMPOSSIBLE with 2, and basically way too hard with 3. Some good ideas, if they can iron them out and make it more like the first 3 levels. Maybe start mixing up items or recipies etc.

A chaotic lil game that brings lots of laughs in between the atuggles of making ends meat

Played this with a group of friends and the impressions were mirrored. The difficulty focuses on moving crafting items and putting the ingredients further and further apart to the point where logistics is not viable. Unfortunately, while I like the concept the execution makes the game a chore to play rather than an enjoyable experience. The start is fun and while the difficulty can be spotty with the randomness of the orders it lends itself to a decent impression within the first 5-30 minutes but as soon as the distance problem arises we just gave up on the level as it becomes a 'Where's Waldo' of the crafting stations. I do not recommend this game.

Overall, had a lot of fun with this one! There's a bit of a learning curve in general, as well as a smaller one with adjusting to each map, but it's nothing that can't be dealt with. Ran it with a full group and just had a screamy, goofy, clock induced panic evening throwing hams around like the world was about to end! There is still some room for improvement obviously. The multiplayer sync seems to need some work in overtime mode (ghost boxes), some maps probably need a second look at how they would flow in theory (the Western train map), and there might be a need to figure out some form of scaling to the number of players. But all in all, if you're just looking for a fun evening of hanging out with your friends, this is a game well worth the price of admission.

[h1]Decent, but not amazing[/h1] I originally bought this game because of an inside joke within my friend group (that was created by shortening the "hampter" sound bite) and encouraged all my friends to do the same. I originally thought this was another friendslop game because of the advertising but really it's more of a cooperative game where you fight against the clock to meet the quota set in each level. It does have goofy elements (that admittedly feel forced sometimes) but most of your game is going to be spent cooperating to get the highest score possible rather than laughing at stupid things that are happening with your friends. I do feel as though this game would benefit massively from more friendslop inspired gameplay (such as the ability to be able to throw your friends across distances while they're carrying objects, more ways for you to be able to sabotage your friends without enormous consequences, the ability to lock your friends in a cage with a machine that helps productivity [like a hampster wheel that powers something and has quicktime events], having to compete with your friends to do the best job in order to be assigned a manager status that gives you special …

I love this game. All the chaos and goofy physics in this game make me laugh. Very fun with friends. 10/10 would recommend. Gotta get that Ham.
