Become a paranormal renovator!
Set out on a path of a ghost-hunting renovator. Your task - restore haunted houses to a usable state! This is not an easy job, applying a new wallpaper won't be enough to render a house safe. You also need to deal with whatever is haunting it. Accept requests to renovate haunted houses from various eccentric owners. Scout abandoned mansions and look for signs of any paranormal activity. Make sure you're ready for the job by preparing a set of tools to aid your work. Chase away ghosts by any means possible. Sometimes your job will be as easy as catching an entity with a net and sometimes you will need to draw elaborate magic circles and perform sinister rituals. And if nothing works, you can always look for an alternative way to solve your issue - regular hauntings have two ways of getting rid of them, nice and mean. Choose your playstyle and earn different rewards based on your choices. You can even adopt certain hauntings!Looks are important, especially when convincing your customers that a house is safe. Change wallpapers, paint the walls, and replace furniture. Find a passion for interior decorations as you do what you can to keep a house from looking haunted.

I usually don't review games, but this one feels like it needs it. I wish I could give this a mixed review in it's current state. Because the concept is great but...well just read the rest of the review. I would love to have loved it, because the concept is right up my alley, and very unique...But the execution is not there. In it's current state, the game is incredibly broken to the point that I can only really say it runs (pretty decently mind you, but still unplayable for other reasons)...but in the 6 hours or so I've played, I have encountered so many game breaking bugs that I'd run out of fingers if I tried to count them. Most of the hauntings that you're supposed to be able to banish can't actually be banished the nice way. I spent a good hour of the six I played trying to banish one of the Mysticus Flyingus hauntings (flying books) and couldn't, I reloaded while trying to, and when I loaded back into the job the haunting had just straight up disappeared. The banishment ritual isn't explained well for that one, and I tried many things including just drawing the circle and placing the lectern (which is what the guide says is the nice way to banish the haunting) Tas…5 found this helpful
Crashes frequently. Keeps saying I need to banish a ghost I've already banished. Also just... Not really worth the effort. I guess the creator abandoned the game and won't be updating. Cool idea, sucky execution4 found this helpful
This was a Christmas gift, however, I just got around to playing it (don't judge me, I know I'm not the only one who doesn't play games right away). Friend, let me tell you....I am super bummed I'm outside the return window for this game because good lordt. It's so buggy and awful I didn't even make it through the tutorial before getting fed up and closing the game. I'm sad my family member wasted their money on this. I can only hope that whoever is looking at the reviews and contemplating whether or not to get it heeds all the warnings in the negative reviews, because this game is [b][i]absolutely[/i] [u]not[/u] worth it[/b] no matter how much of a discount it's listed for.2 found this helpful

DON'T BUY IT! This game is such a fun concept, and the story is actually kinda neat. But the actual gameplay is so buggy that I can't in good conscious recommend buying it. The game itself is fairly different from the demo, mechanics wise, and the actual game has so many bugs and glitches that it's a chore just to get through one contract. If the bugs were getting fixed I'd recommend it, but the dev's have been absent from this title for months... I played through the whole game, but only because I hate not finishing stuff. It's such a shame that the game has so many issues, because when it's not glitching out, it's fun.
I'm really not sure if I should recommend this game. On one hand, I love the vibes of the game, the theming is great, the hauntings are inventive, and it's extremely satisfying to fix up the haunted locations and puzzle out how to banish the ghosts. On the other, I find progress I've made sometimes unravels when I'm not looking, and I really don't think what I'm seeing is intentional. At my home base, it's asking me to banish hauntings that have already been defeated, and the controls can be kinda clunky. It's not enough to put me off the game, I'm still enjoying it, but I can see this being a source of frustration for others. Since recommendation is a binary, I'll put it as recommended for now, but you should be aware of the issues before you put money down.
