Ghost Hunter Simulator

What a clever spin on ghost hunting and simulators in general. I can't wait to see how this continues to progress.

I want to be very clear: this game is unpolished. It's barely playable on my mid tier laptop. That said, there is a vision. I am recommending this game because of what it could be, not what it is right now. It's in Early Access after all. Some immediate concerns: - The game size is 27 GB, which seems like way too much. - Controls cannot be remapped. - The UI could use a lot of polish, it's a bit overwhelming at times. Good: - Atmosphere - Unique aesthetic Neutral: - It's an asset swap game, which leaves some parts a bit generic still. Luckily, it seems the team is working actively on making the game its own.

As of writing this review, the game is in early EARLY access. Like essentially the early access that would be run through by internal playtesters in larger companies to find bugs and provide gameplay feedback. If you go into it at this point of development with that in your mind, what is there currently is truly magical. Sometimes things don't work, or are merely placeholders, but the vibes and the lore that exist are truly wonderful. And unlike games like Phasmophobia and the like, it's cozy! While there may be spooky ambience, nothing is going to chase you down a hallway as you learn the history of the building and gather evidence to post on your in game social media page. I do highly recommend this title, with the caveat that it's currently in an alpha state and should be approached from that viewpoint. Or if you want to wait for later updates, the folks at Prime8 do have a Patreon that could be used to support the development instead! I've supported a few games via Patreon, and it's always a treat to see them grow from their humble beginnings into something truly amazing.

Game is quirky, a little silly but fun. Got past the second map to see some other maps, love the fact that they have some locations based on real ones, that is unique. Something i wish other ghost hunting games would do lol. Would love to see this game polished up and optimized a bit more but its still alpha so that's to be expected. Reminds me of Conrad Stevenson's a little. I was hoping for another game similar to it. This could be that game in due time. Game has potential and Im excited for future updates
