Heart of Ember is a simple turn based RPG with a simple story. It is set within a beautiful hand painted 3D world. The game will be released by episodes. The reasoning behind this is because there is only one single developer creating the game. This is the first episode of the series.

Definetly a simple game like it says, story and the graphics might be cute but frequent and mostly pointless battles(you heal after each battle) combined with frustratingly slow movement speed mean that you probably should have something else to watch while you wait for your character to move or battle to end.

cute final fantasy like rpg but needs more work. if the dev added a run and worked a bit more on the menu i would give this a thumbs up but as is i'm not into it. if you can get past the flaws i'm sure there is a good game here. -i have no idea how to exit the game. -it needs a run option -secondary character is controlled by AI -can only save at save points

I mean it's okay. Not my cup of tea. The story seems a little cliche, and you can really tell the creator is new at game designing. It's cute and all but rather boring. I got it from a bundle so it didn't cost me much at all. I would say if you're bored and wanting something relaxing to play then this is a shot.

This is a cutesy 3D Final Fantasy ripoff JRPG. There's too much click-through dialogue, which is wordy but doesn't really add anything. There's no graphics customisability so you end up with a low poly, low texture mess (at least it works in 4K - lucky, because you can't change the resolution!) You really need a gamepad, this probably wasn't developed for PC. Once you get through that, the gameplay itself is far from compelling - clunky controls, weak and shallow combat mechanics, no skill needed. Just play Final Fantasy.

I give this game a thumbs up with heavy caveats... I really wanted to like this game, as it's the first ORK Framework game I've played, and I'm developing a game using the same plugin. However, there are just some rough edges that made it very tough to enjoy. That, and the fact there doesn't seem to be a new chapter of the game, despite the game finishing on a cliffhanger. So first, the positives. - Graphics are nice, though admittedly they are asset store purchases. - Battle system is adequately balanced - Has the seeds of a good story The negatives: - In the dialogue, there are case issues and a few spelling issues - The dialogue seems rushed, especially in the second half of the game - There don't seem to be any real stakes in the story. At one point both characters die, and then they are resurrected and continue on like nothing happened - The game only has one boss, really, and I didn't even realise it was the boss until after the battle was over. There should have been some different music or something. Sorry to be so harsh. I didn't feel like my time was wasted playing, but I hope if you ever release the next chapter, you will fix some of the issues that prevented this fr…

Tags: Topdown - RPGMaker & Party RPG Additional Tags: Delete Local Content & Remove from Library TLDR:No Xbox360 pad support. Tablet-like 3D. Low quality textures, no animation chibis. Boring dialogue that begs to be skipped. Maps are corridor-like with no freedom. Run speed is slow. Poor combat. Combat animations are slow. Combat is uninspired and flat. AI controls your teammate which is meh. Opening a potion menu will trap you in there until you consume a potion as the ESC key will not let you backtrack. Removed for declutter
